So Varian didn’t die? O.o
The shades of grey you can barely tell appart from black because they are so dark.
No, it would be like calling Rey not a Mary Sue if Han Solo died, and she struggled to fill his boots, cosntantly falling short, lived in his shadow and couldn’t compare, then finally realised she isn’t him, and had to approach the problem in her own way, which was to ask for help.
The reason he didn’t die was for Saurfang’s naritive, Not because he got a magical get out of jail free card. It was Saurfang sparing him because Saurfang had honour.
And like, He was trapped in the emerald dreem for the 3 expansions by Staghelm, he gets out for cataclysm, only to get captured by Xavius in Legion, has to be saved by the players, and then gets owned by Saurfang in BfA.
Malfurion isn’t a Mary Sue, he’s a Jobber. All he does is lose to make other people look good.
oh, right, I actually did… My bad. >.>
You want to tell that to Staghelm, Varian, Summermoon, Sira, Maraad etc…?
Maraad in perticular was by far my favorite Draenei NPC, and they killed him off in two timelines.
Genocide.
Experiments on live subjects.
Use of chemical warfare.
Betraying her own faction.
Give it up.
One irrelevant character that had relevance in WoTLK then never again…big whoop.
They never really make any of that clear. What is clear is Bolvar-King doesn’t try to help the remnants of the Scourge purge the planet of the living, and actively fights (well, has us fight) the Legion, and in a sort of hand-wavey way with you roll an AR dk, whatever the problems of BFA are.
Pretty sure Frostmourne took Arthas soul not The Helm Of Domination.
-Night elves have shown they’ll fight to the very last breath.
- where though?
- using the plague is no different as using a bomb, people cry when Garrosh bombed theramore you people are never happy.
- notice a lot of your powerpoints are things exclusive to BFA. You’re trying to call her a Mary sue from these actions specifically like she hasn’t existed since WC3… the fact you’re only picking BFA points proves my point.
Just counting the Alliance leaders-
Bolvar-nearly killed, then the Lich King, now dethroned and likely having to reveal to the world, and most importantly his daughter, of his cruel fate.
Varian-(including him since he exists and is in the plot in Vanilla) survives years of torture at the hands of Onyxia, only to be obliterated by Gul’dan while attempting to protect both the Horde and Alliance from the Legion.
Magni-(you put him as a positive, I think it is negative considering he also turned neutral and is unloving at this point) tried to DM the earth, turned into diamond and only got to move years later, now a servant of the titans.
Mekkatorque- just a short duration coma, but honestly looked pretty bad before the mechagnome scenario.
Velen- not dead himself, but lost everything of personal significance to him in Legion, besides his exiled dranei.
Jaina- still alive, but her and her home nuked through deception; then the Kirin Tor ousting her because of a misguided partnership attempt.
Also see Theramore and Teldrassil.
The Alliance is not lossless
Wrong. Biowarfare has consequences far beyond a mere ‘kaboom’.
Clearly you are ignoring Undercity’s basements; where said experiments have been going on since LAUNCH, as have the various quests for the alchemists in Tarren Mill.
The Hillsbrad region was overrun and blighted in Cata; the eponymous city has become a death camp. Also, in Cata, forsaken outposts, complete with blight carts and facilities for making same, are in the Arathis and the Hinterlands.
Do your homework: your knowledge of this game’s past expacs is as bad as the current writing.
has an ![]()
Shh, they don’t like it when you smack them with the truth bat. Most of them are immediately triggered by any perceived slight to their disgusting and horribly written waifu.
I think maybe having tens of thousands of your people die needlessly in a horrific way is a little different than losing a tactical battle or being booted from your position of leadership.
Alleria was an S-teir badass as far back as WC2. Sylvanus was her equal, though her (mostly deserved) superiority complex and consequent arrogance were more obvious than her sister’s and have been featured as something of a fatal flaw ever since.
Oddly enough, after gaining additional powers, she didn’t fall from that S-tier. Shocker. And yet she still loses in most fights she didn’t prep thoroughly for. She wins what she plans for and executes upon exactly, and loses to others’ areas of superiority whenever she can’t manage that, her own mostly singular area of superiority.
Theramore is a crater and Gilneas is literally inhabited by gilneans.
She could have got people out the moment they knew the Horde was in Ashenvale but the night elves are full of themselves.
Literally everyone from Undercity (citizen wise) got evacuated because Sylvanas actually respected their enemy.
She tried, She had went towards feralas with the Nightelf army, by the time she knew what was going on it was too late, she tried to get back in time only to just see Malfurion almost die, and them traveled to stormwind to work with Genn getting as many nightelves through the portals as they possibly could. Tyrande did everything she could, but she was deceived, and the fact she wasn’t there was the only reason the horde were able to pull it off. That was the whole point.
Thats because Anduin didn’t use Ambush tactics, his march against Lorderon wasn’t a suprise, he didn’t WANT to hurt citizens. Anduin had no intention of harming civillians, it was actually Sylvanas who had no respect for her own troops, and blighted them.
They’ll be changing that soon, I bet.
Tyrande has been losing her territories throughout all WoW.
I think Magni has been “nuetralled”
Has not been relevant in the whole WoW story until the reading of dazalor or whatever you spell that city.
Alleria and Turalyon- demigods
They are strong, but I wouldn’t classify them as demigods.
She is top tier, but not the most powerful I think. Khadgar and azshara are still more powerful.
He personally threatened Sylvanas in before the storm. So neutral.
Where though, what zone belonged to night elves and didn’t anymore…?
Nah he’s got the strongest plot armor.
Literally everyone from Undercity (citizen wise) got evacuated because Sylvanas actually respected their enemy.
This is a load of BS. She fully intended to draw the alliance in and have them all die from the plague bombs, that’s not respect that’s a Pyrrhic victory. Her favorite method is salting the earth battles.
Her goals have literally never evolved since Arthas wrecked her. Sure she “loses” but somehow is stronger after each “loss”
Why not make them stay then…? That would have been more deaths.
Sorry, I don’t read their books. I despise their philosophy of “if you want the full story, you’ll need to buy these 3 books, 2 comic books, 4 board games, 1 trading card game, and the limited edition of some stuff”. If they want us to know the story, they should place it in game, but that’s another topic.
Ashenvale, azshara, and now teldrassil (I would have added Darkshore, but considering that the alli “canonically won that warfront”, I suppose they recovered the land? I don’t know, with blizzard no one really knows).
Nahh, just give it time. Blizz has been retconing a bunch of things. Manduinwill not be the exception, I know it.
Yeah it’s kind of silly but pretty much he teleported into her war chamber and told her if her goblins weren’t removed he’d stop her personally.
This was before you were given the heart of Azeroth
THis, all off this. Both her and nathanos have this same problem. They are always able to do something to get away or escape. They never have to deal with their own actions, and they can mccguffin their way out of every single situation.
Reminder as well, Sylvanas had a very small fanbase, about the same as any other faction leader which was pretty small, it was not until they gave her the sexy armor in IC that suddenly, as if by magic, her fan base exploded.
majority of her fans are just thirsty people.
