In light of the Scourge invasion pre-patch content dropping last Tuesday, we decided to do something different last Wednesday with the usual date and timeslot for our Debate Series to mark the occasion ICly!

With the ongoing invasion by the Scourge continuing to cause untold panic, chaos and mayhem all throughout Azeroth, we will again use this opportunity to host a second highly immersive cross-faction community roleplay event! (Our Colloquium Series are always neutral faction, so no major change there!)
Salon Room A on the University Main Campus (ICly SWU Main Campus / OOCly Scarlet Enclave Ruins) remains established as an emergency “sanctuary” where we plan to once again host relief stations; such as providing medical attention/first aid and counseling, as well as supply donations (accepting as well as handing out), and food and water. We also welcome entertainers of all kinds, in further attempts to raise morale and keep it high during these troubled times! Participation is definitely welcomed and encouraged whether as a fellow volunteer, friends and allies of the University, or even civilian characters in need of aid!

Some quick, relevant SWU IC lore and headcanon:
The SWU Main Campus resides on the outskirts of Stormwind City proper, which allows for non-Alliance visitors to safely access the University’s facilities without need of traversing through the city itself. The campus grounds are extremely well defended and nigh-impregnable from mass mob tactic assaults by the Scourge, through both natural and magical means.
The University itself is surrounded by high mountains and hilly terrain on its flanks with a waterway connection to Stormwind Harbor at the rear. The Campus Front Gates are the only pedestrian access at all times. During the Scourge invasion, these gates will be dedicatedly monitored from the Campus Security Watchtower and patrolled for the defense and rescue of refuge seekers, as well as the neutralization of Scourge attackers.
Additionally, the campus grounds are defended by magical wards set in place and maintained by various members of the Stormwind University faculty and staff. These wards cover the entire perimeter of the campus grounds and are threaded together cooperatively using multiple forms of magic in order to better guarantee the repulsion of unwelcome forces.
Since last week, there have been minor sieges laid by the Scourge against the campus’ wards and some direct skirmishes with the Campus Security agents (plus deputized volunteer defenders) on occasion, but overall the campus grounds’ defenses remain stalwart and strongly fortified.
((As the Scourge invasion is planned to intensify and spread into the cities come Tuesday, we’ve set plans into motion in advance to make this week’s session a bit more intense this time around!))
(( NOTE: There will a combat intensive scenario planned for the evening, involving members of the security patrols. Medics, healers and other roles will see more action once these have been carried out!))
((Additionally, those who participated in last week’s refuge efforts are welcome to headcanon whether or not they remained throughout the week within our safe haven at the campus grounds. Further, even if your character wasn’t present on Wednesday, we still welcome any character who would like to headcanon that they’d arrived (off-screen) then, or even throughout the week!

Wednesday’s event had a great turnout with such magnificent community support, which is why we decided to continue with it this week! We hope to see you there! As always, ALL are welcome to join in and participate, with a wide variety of roles permitted and welcomed! 
(We do recognize that the location is a bit out of the way, so summons - for both Alliance and Horde! - will be provided prior to start time and throughout the first 15-20 minutes afterward for our attendees’ convenience!)
