Did you see that the Wow Jones have a new purple sword! You know they did not work for that! I heard they have a rich uncle that just gives them gear! The nerve…
And the fancy potions they drink at night?? Who can afford that in this neighborhood? And don’t get me started on that fancy horse they ride. I heard it’s from foreign investment money. Not US of A gold!
It just ruins my day thinking about those WoW Jones…
it’s not “racist” to accurately say that Chinese people have long been farming gold in WoW, which is absolutely true. In early WoW there were hundreds of thousands of them, and entire companies devoted to farming gold.
Seemingly old stats, but:
htt ps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_farming
“Gold farming in China is more pervasive than in any other country, as 80% of all gold farmers are in mainland China”
It doesn’t make sense to me to go out of your way to farm the last few tens of gold to get mount at 40. Does it really save time? Just keep levelling, quests give 1g a piece at that level.
I had enough gold at 40 for my mount in official and in BB. That’s not a valid point. I also dumped a lot my money on gear and consumables after 40, because why not.
I am sure RMT exists in hardcore unfortunately, but those aren’t good examples. GDKPs are horrible no doubt.
In my case its called having two accounts and an auction house alt that sits there all day and flips auctions. Last classic, took me about a month but with AH flipping I got to gold cap starting at just a few silver. All you got to do is play the AH every day for 10 hours straight and do that for only about a month and you are at gold cap. Gold cap in HC…barely any more than a WoW token in retail. So. Get ah alts. get two ah accounts as well so you can throw off the people with Ah addons.
I wouldn’t expect gathering professions at the low levels (and even 30 might not be that high at this point) to pay much on HC realms since you constantly have new characters farming those same mats. But even vendor price on skinning is decent for extra gold.
