Sweeping healer changes

The healing rain changes I think are intended to make it less annoying to use, but making it last 18 seconds default AND have an 18 second cooldown seems like a mistake. Now the issue will be, you cast healing rain and everyone immediately moves out of it where only totemic can move it and farseer just has a pointless healing rain for 18 seconds. Hopefully the talent tree remains in a state where you can just spec out of HR as farseer and be fine.

It’s not about the numbers, it’s about not wanting to use it.

Okay, why don’t you want to use it?

Midnight Alpha Development Notes - Wowhead News

Skull bash has been removed from resto druids. But for some reason it is still in the general tree.

“Skull Bash is no longer available to Restoration Druids” is pretty difficult to misinterpret though, lbr.

I mean the original reference was the Diablo Immortal reveal when everyone got pissed because they wanted D4 news and got Immortal instead.

So you don’t actually know if it’s been removed or? It’s a yes or no question.

Blizzard confirmed they have removed skull bash from resto druids. Yes it is removed. I linked you the development notes for alpha.

Okay, so we need to cry about not having a kick?

When having access to an interrupt is absolutely vital to certain pieces of solo content, denying certain classes that functionality is WACKY.

Druid has 20 stops, they will be fine.

It probably won’t be for resto druids, just like how skull bash isn’t currently in the tree for balance druids.

Whether or not it is replaced with anything remains to be seen.

I could understand if they removed Wild Growth or Lifebloom, but crying about Skull Bash going away is just bizarre, I’m sorry. You can die on that whiny hill of crying, go for it lol.

Imagine being this pressed about someone having an opinion you don’t share.

I’m a bit wary about this philosophy.

Because it reminds me a LOT of the state of Final Fantasy 14’s jobs (their versions of specs here). Essentially dumbed down to accomodate easy gameplay with the difficulty being in the encounters themselves.

The grievance there is that besides being dumbed down XIV’s jobs are also overly homogenized and without a lot of identity, which I hope it doesn’t happen here.

This is silly on both accounts.

Mushroom is a staple.
Skull bash is great for interrupt access.

Whyyyyyyyyyy

Nooooooooo! You can’t make the game easier!! It’s not fair! NOOO!!

Keep it up Blizzard, keep these tears flowing.

This is really good, this will lower skill floor and ceiling promoting more people to heal

I hope they are doing this with tanks as well

So more ppl play tank and heals reducing ques.

Finally catering to the larger population than the minor vocal majority

They did a lot of homogenization of healers in Cata (I nvr played classic cata so I don’t know). They were all very similar to make it easier for everyone. Obviously, they went a different direction afterwards. So I’m trying to keep in mind this is a big test, even though it feels like history repeating itself. I’m hoping blizz learns this time around a better direction to go in. Kinda sucks we have to suffer through these growing pains with them though =/

R Druid hots actually healed in Cata and you actually had to maintain them or you did no healing because of that talent, I forget what it’s called already, it was like the Mastery but it only counted for direct heals, back when you pressed Nourish. But I played a R Druid in Cata Classic, not in OG.
