The apex for survival is extremely boring and really only has to do with aoe. Currently as a pvper im going to skip it entirely.
I would love to see it have to do with survivals pet. I’ve always wanted dire beats as survival and while I know we are getting that in PL, something like that would be cool and fun for the apex.
For me I think what they’re giving unholy for it’s apex is extremely exciting and fun. Apex’s if anything should pull the gamer to at-least want to take them, even if we end up forgoing them in the end.
Are any apex talents any good on any classes? The entire concept is dumb and i dont see it being any better for anyone else either.

Like I stated I think unholy’s is really cool but also frost mage too. They are definitely cooking with some of them.
Shadow and disc are cool to a point too.
Wot… that’s a secondary effect that doesn’t come into play until the third mode/fourth talent point. The primary and main focus of the apex is the new swipe, which is as I said a aoe.
I am interested in seeing the animation to the swipe. But also as a pvper I like to play surv from range and I’m concerned how and if it’s even going to trigger and hit or whatever when at a range.
Also the pet effect from the apex is already like strike as one. Which is redundant. It giving haste is different but still boring.
I don’t mind our Apex talents, it’s kind of a Windfury proc for Raptor Strike. Selfishly as a PvPr I do worry about the AoE breaking CC but with the CC dmg threshold it might be ok.
The final node is a 400% attack power single target proc that ALSO gives you stacking haste. That makes it viable for ST and 110% will be taken for all forms of content.
The animation is pretty bad tbh. You do raptor strike and afterwards carve animation. Looked kinda clunky, but maybe it’s a placeholder.
I myself am not a fan of the molotov cocktail. Too much in your screen. Might be hard to notice all the ground stuff.
yea I didn’t consider that myself but we’ll have to see how it all works out.
But is it going to still hit/apply if i’m at max range and trying to proc it during Aspect of Eagle? Cause the 400% wont mean anything if it DOES proc but only as a melee animation when im that far.
Also I do not think dmg is the main and only thing people should be have as a priority (in gameplay period really) so I could care less about just dmg esp as a pvper. You could be doing more dmg than me and still get killed by me in pvp, there’s no script.
Ultimately, its looking very pve focused and i would only consider it for when pveing and just would allocate those points elsewhere when pvping.
o Jesus, funny enough I immediately thought it was going to be carves animation. Which I myself don’t mind but that’s what I’m talking about when I say boring. Where’s the interest and intrigue in that.
also I’m still concerned if the dmg from it procs will hit targets at max range when doing Aspect of Eagle or if its just not going to proc at all during it. I would be gucci with the former but that would still be boring conceptually.
I would love if we could cause our pets to go into a frenzy and have them do a animation like old rogue killing spree. That would be new and cool.

I want all survival hunters to prepare there minds and body for the un-exciting game play that this spec will get in the next expansion. It will never be meta, and only 10 players play it.
Why? Imo I want more bleeds/dots/explosions.
I was mainly pointing out it isn’t a pure AoE ability as someone was complaining about. Can’t tell you if it’ll work with Aspect of the Eagle but if it does the ST component is from the pet so theoretically would work in your scenario.
Still it adds a burst phase and AoE cleave in one skill, why I’m genuinely curious why anyone thinks it isn’t PvP viable if not meta
if this was about my comments i just stated it is a aoe which it ultimately is and those aren’t the typically go to for pvpers.
cause dmg isn’t everything lol. its a single aspect.
Cause I like the pet aspect to survival. That was just one suggestion though.
I’d be gucci with it being bleed or dot based. Preferably if that could trigger from kill command. a KC based apex period would be cool. KC is one of my favorite skills in the game.

Please let Survival Hunt keep Kill Shot, let us have a choice on the shot gun or the spear and we love Cordinated Assult. Survival is perfect the way it is now!

I’m fine with Raptor Swipe personally, liked the time when we used Butchery on ST because the DoT was so overtuned
When I first heard about Apex talents - I thought there was going to be more than 1. like, if our core abilities are being reduced to
Raptor Strike
Kill Command
Wildfire Bomb
Then we would have 1 apex talent “path” that focuses on raptor strike, on one kill command, and one on wildfire bomb. I’m figuring out that this is not the way it works, as it seems like it’s only 1 option.
If there IS going to be only one option, it makes sense that it would be raptor strike as our primary spender. triggering extra raptor swipes during takedown at 100% effectiveness and going into a frenzy with your pet seems super thematic.
If it wasn’t the flurry/raptor swipe - what would you have it be? Maybe that’s a space for mongoose fury and wallop? But personally I really like the whole “flurry of strikes” takedown vibe.

We’ll see wot they do. I’m hoping for changes but at this point my eye in on a number of specs so if its really not for me, no biggie.

Gameplaywise, it’s good. I like it. But from animation fluidity perspective? Yea… Not so much.
