I believe that the last time I played as survival was when it was a ranged spec. How is it in PVP currently?

Both hero specs have their own unique flaws and tip of the spear is super lame to manage.

It’s not boring at all it’s a really fun spec tbh. Although all these hunters hate on it. I’d say try it rather than listen to the jaded hunters here who hate it and most have probably never touched it lol.

I’m a Stan for SV, but I’m struggling to enjoy it. It’s missing things and has things I didn’t really want from when it was the most fun.
And I don’t think that’s unique to SV. Every guide I read for every class/spec I like has things like “this isn’t going to change your rotation at all because everything is passive.”
There’s a bunch of talents I feel like I can’t live without and then there’s talents related to butchery that I need to take to get them, but I didnt even take butchery. I wanna try sulfur lined pockets but I can never really decide what to give up for it.
And all that for… No immediately noticeable playstyle difference? That’s the philosophy, it seems and I don’t love it.

If you like the Kill command ability, and if you think it will be a lot of fun spamming it all game to increase the damage of the real abilities, Survival is the spec for you!

I’ve been struggling to beat ferals, but otherwise it’s fun to 1v1 in the world with and in bgs.

Hunter survival is mad fun imo.
Toolkit is huge. I have loads of fun. Been playing survival since start of new xpac.

That’s why I’ve been playing packleader with it tbh so kill command doesn’t feel as bad to press since it’ll do decent damage with the packleader proc on it. I believe it’s called vicious hunt.

To be honnest ot still is kinda a ranged specc. Or its an intermidiate hit and run specc. I need to do more pvp bit ots been fun thr little i have done.

I have always been bitter when, in my opinion, they ruined survival spec by making it melee. I would rather the spec just be removed than take up valuable dev time from BM and MM since its a melee spec now.

Well you’d be wrong because there’s people who enjoy it now and I personally enjoyed it then too. I was with you jaded boys at first when I had first heard they’re changing it to Melee but once they did and I tried it I actually found it fun.

2k CR in DF here, Im having a tough time enjoying the spec currently and it has been my main since legion, it feels like its melee identity its lost, we just spam kill comand and bombs, manage passives. I really miss the days of moongose bite doing crazy crits and well, being a melee spec.
The hero talents are just not it, specially for pvp.

You knew it for a long time MSV was a failure. We all did. RSV won in the end. That’s why we no longer have threads, mainly hosted by a certain goblin from Barthilas or Frostmourne.
SV now is RSV that can swing a stick to do some tacked-on abilities.
Nobody’s talking about MSV anymore. We’re past that now. It’s a fait accompli. I would have correctly predicted since Legion it would not last.

You just said it. We ALL got over it. Letting it go that it ever happened, may be different. And yes, that’s been said multiple times Blizz won’t apologize. No one said it better than a certain Barthilasian/Frostmournean goblin hunter.
If you’re talking about me, I won’t get over losing Mad Bombardier, that a SL private server is needed to bring that sexy back. I care more about that not coming back than the old RSV. 9.2 is the bitter pill that’s hard to swallow, and I think I can get a copium prescription for it.

My earlier statement was very broad, too vague. My only frustration with survial is tip of the spear. I will likely spec back to it once pack leader is brought up to par damage wise
