There is a known bug that existed since RELEASE! The bug is flayed shot has no animation and sound when used while equipping a 2h axe.

Im not sure the hunter forms are the best place to submit bug reports, last i checked there was a bug report tool in game.

There’s also the bug report forums that might have some info for this issue, though I’m not sure as I don’t normally go there.
