I mean… that doesn’t really change anything though! It’s still just going to be KC spamming for resets. We already have a talent that gives us more focus from KC, the other part is just numbers tuning.

Yea, but it looks better. Flailing your arms in melee looks silly, plus there are plenty generic talents this could take place for

Oh it had the current flanking strike animation? Yeah then I’d say it would be better. Or was it some other animation? Because just to get the animation of KC changed would help big time. Remove the synergies and change the animation. Then I am fine having it as our generator.

KC animation is borderline an insult. Even worse than Raptor strike and Carve. You are a melee wielding hunter fighting a enemy and instead you flail around with your arms? Especially in current build when it’s all about spamming KC you look like a idiot having spasms.

What’s wrong with RS and Carve animations?

I mean it’s not necessarily something wrong with them, they are just incredibly lackluster.

Warrior have very nice and good melee attack animations. Not too much but clearly distinct from normal attacks.
Hunter, survival, we get a slight green tint on the airflow behind our attack. Raptor strike is just 2 kinds of normal weapon swings, with a bit of green after it, barely noticeable. Same with carve. And hamstring is the same, a generic weapon attack but with slight yellow tint on the air after the swing. That is our only melee attacks and they are really lacking. But we have flanking strike and butchery who look and feel quite nice. So I am happy we can get those in DF. In live you never take them because they are so much worse than the other options in the talent rows.

Yeah I know I was a bit harsh perhaps in the wording. I don’t dislike them because they are quite nice and toned down. Feel quite fitting for what they are. But they are very simplistic and doesn’t really leave much of an impression. But we have Flanking strike, traps, butchery and hopefully Spearhead for that.

Also this is great because it will/would make it much easier to implement dual-wield to SV hunters. For raptor strike, carve, wing clip etc you can just use another weapon swing animation for them, the ones made for dual-wield. And it would look the same as with a 2h.

I would love if there was bit more “flair” for attacks not just for hunters. But yeah a bit more vfx when you press X ability. That being said I am guessing “adding flair” to attack animations is probably way down Blizz’s priorty list but you never know.

Probably is. Quite bad how they revamp the spec completely and this is what animations they managed to fix? At least butchery and flanking strike is good.

Good Lord I would love to see an actual thrust animation or something. For 2h axes and maces it wouldnt work but man for swords and polearms that would be so cool.
