I guess the easiest way for you to win the argument is to dismiss all official data…
Sure, in alternate facts world. But we don’t live in alternate facts world.
Again, by law, Activision-Blizzard is required to report any negative news that could affect shareholder confidence, and let’s be real, with World of Warcraft being Blizzard’s flagship product right now (and the one that is generating the most revenue for them), if World of Warcraft was performing poorly, Activision-Blizzard would be required, by law, to tell folks.
What’s more likely is that the doomers were wrong, again, and now they’ve got to make up excuses as to why they’re still right, even though they’re not.
You’re in denial and it shows.
The easiest way for me to win the argument is to cut to the truth of the matter.
All you have is pure speculation. No hard evidence.
Except a legally binding document that shows positive performance.
You literally have nothing other than your opinion.
As do you since it doesn’t specify how Warcraft is doing as an entity on its own.
Except it does…did you even read the report?
High player engagement, sharp increase in net bookings, increase in new players…etc
Then where are the numbers I ask for before?
Exactly. Plus, the vast majority of bots are new accounts, too.
You have obviously never owned stocks … they are mandated by law to report the truth . People like me who are shareholders in Activision put our money in the company based on these reports .
I read the report, my pea brain doesn’t compute, did we win the stock market?
Go team?

This honestly reminds me of the Parler whackos after Biden got inaugerated.
“Trump is still president, there will be a military coup, watch and see.”
-nothing happens-
“Oh it’s going to happen guys, he’s still the Commander in Chief, he’s still in control. Just wait, any day now we’ll get the news that he’s moved back into the White House.”
-nothing happens-
“Could we… have been wrong? No, no, it’s the media, they’re not reporting on it properly, it’s going to happen! Just wait!”
Only in this context its:
“World of Warcraft is dying folks, Blizzard is a sinking ship and we all know it.”
-positive numbers get released-
“Any day now folks, we all know Blizzard is dead, ignore the shills, we’re right and we know it.”
-more positive numbers get released-
“Could we have been wrong? No! No, it’s Activision-Blizzard, they’re not talking about anything negative, it’s all being done to confuse us, WoW is totally dying.”
Whelp, I am now done engaging with you. You haven’t even read the report you are discounting and you refuse to acknowledge the verifiable information presented to you.
Continuing this conversation is a waste of time.
Do you really think opinions of forumers are equal to what’s on a Federally mandated document ? ![]()

Though there would be evidence to suggest a negative trend in player retention or performance as the expansion went on in the year, though I suspect they wouldn’t be focusing on the negative speculation where corporate image has to be maintained, plus the overall overhead of the actual companies long-term project focuses.
I’m talking more as to how Warcraft is doing overall.
You have obviously never worked for a publicly owned company. They are not obligated by law to frame the truth in a negative light. When they want to call attention to positives, they do so. When they want to hide the negatives, they’re allowed to simply stick to facts without no attempt at interpretation whatsoever. They can claim two million new accounts. They don’t have to mention the number of new accounts that are banned within the year for botting.
If you had the numbers you’d show me.
But you don’t.
As a shareholder all I want to know is how many new players are playing WoW compared to last year . It’s a 7 percent increase in revenue .
Sure. As a shareholder, you make just as much money off of bots as you do off of normal players. From a shareholder’s point of view, the game is perfectly healthy. That may not be consistent with the player’s point of view, though.
We need that.
We need it… for… better phones… and… to cure the lag in WoW.
Pretty sure more forum goers play WoW than anyone sitting on their quarterly meetings.
