Don’t forget to report people who sell enchants… or people who sell stuff on the auction house. Blatant ties to gold buying!!

Gold buyers/sellers & bots/multiboxers (that are automatically replicating inputs) are the only thing that should be banned. Spending resources banning activity that isn’t inherently cheating is a waste of time. Focus ALL time on banning the actual cheating.

The entire purpose of selling summons is to funnel bought gold. This is based on the fact that no legitimate level 25 would pay two gold to save time on a 2 minute flight.

The enchanting system does not work this way. The auction House does not work this way. Cope more.

Report all summon spam, and GDKP. They exist solely to funnel back bought gold.

Just remember, even if you believe it’s perfectly reasonable for legit players to want to spend 2 gold to save 2 minutes of flight time and it’s not a gold buying funneling tool, advertising for services, especially non stop, in the LFG channel is reportable.

Report all summoning spam.

I report anyone selling anything in Lookingforgroup chat. I do this because it ignores them without having to add them to my ignore list. I want to use LookingforGroup to look for groups, and it’s difficult to do when you’ve got dozens of people trying to sell crap.

If they get silenced for spamming trade in non-trade channels, that’s on them. They should go to trade chat to sell things (including summons).

There are discords full of boosters/w gold sellers and buyers and it just makes my skin crawl, and a lot of the average player bases response “Well, there’s so many bots and farmers doing it anyways, I might as well” Sod off with that mentality. Report the twits.

We never saw summon spam this bad in any other earlier iteration of classic/vanilla. This is because gold buying was mostly just used to get mounts. Now it’s so wide spread, with streamers doing it non stop showing everyone all the different ways you can use it, “services” have popped up that are ENTIRELY meant to scoop up bought gold. It’s their purpose.

If it didn’t exist in vanilla, then that’s what’s going on. Summon spam is reportable because they spam it in a channel meant for people to find each other for grouping to do content.

Take a moment to think about why maybe SoD might have a more thriving summon service economy.
Is it because:

  • Level is capped to 25, making higher level zones very dangerous to run through?
  • Level is capped to 25, meaning no mounts?
  • Level is capped to 25, meaning very limited access to flight paths?
  • Runes exist which force you to travel to distant zones that you would otherwise have no reason to go, especially at level 25? ESPECIALLY for horde? (wetlands lmao)
