Suggestions for fixing the herb issue on mega-servers

thats a valid argument. do you want to spend 2 hours flying around with nothing to show most players dont. most of us are adults with jobs. with us there is no wow

Yeah…. Not reading your AI post but the bot army was created by the crybabies. Whiners crying about GDKP and solo mages in low dungeons. Your tears got the mage nerf and GDKP ban and you all thought the gold market was just going to say “aww darn” and go away lol but they just fully automated their grind and now they bother the people who cried for this more than ever before.

Really you all just created a better system for them, more automated and because there are so many the economy is jacked up in their favor so they winning twice now. If you were not one of the crybabies, I am sorry you are suffering for others tears, but if you were a crybaby, may you be happy sleeping in the bed you have made.

So, you don’t want to play the game you pay money to play but you need consumables to play the game you pay money to play? Yet you can easily just make gold to get the consumables multiple ways but it involves playing the game.

So are you trying to raid log on the game you pay money to play?

Adulting is managing your time. Sounds like you need to manage it better.

“I’m an adult with a job” is the lines of the weak and pathetic who can’t properly manage their own free time to access things they pay money to do.

Do you pay for a gym membership just to not go or just to go once a month?

Do you have a Netflix sub just to watch one movie a week?

“ I’m an adult with a job” was never a big flex, even when we were kids.

Now we have kids and jobs and it’s still a pathetic excuse to use because it outs you as a failure of an adult who can’t properly manage your own free time.

I play under 10 hrs a week, I have no issues with gold. No issues with my 15 haste pots/sappers/scrolls or my gems and enchants.
I raid on 4 characters.

I do dailies on two characters.

Play better.

If you wanna talk about how supply/demand is affecting herbs/ore/gems. Cool but don’t bring your failure life skills into the conversation.

Blizzard doesnt care. I’ve been posting about this for months and they refuse to put any effort into fixing it. Theyre too busy creating stupid crap for player housing in retail. Sadly the best way to get netherbloom/mana thistle is to spam run botanica and make sure there are no other herbers in there with you. Open world nodes are camped and its like winning the lottery if you do happen to get one. Like ive said, and others, the best way to fix the issue is to add a small drop percentage onto other herbs for mana thistle and netherbloom. That would solve the camping issue and increase the amount of supply enough to lower the prices to a reasonable amount. I thought i read somewhere that they were going to do that but i guess they never did.

JFC, we JUST went through this. Go look at my post history from 2021, I write all my damn posts.

It’s not AI.

It’s not AI. I copy and pasted it into 5 different AI detectors. They all said 0% AI and 100% human.

I know what those AI detectors are looking for. I Googled it once and that led me to some Youtube videos that explains the technology behind spotting AI written works and AI created images.

It’s not AI. Middle school students have to write essays longer than the OP’s post.

It’s not AI though.

OMG, he wrote a post longer than a Twitter post with a max of 280 characters. It must be AI.

Evidently you don’t, because the “AI detectors” are themselves AI, and inherently unreliable as a result.

PS - Length is not one of the aspects considered.

I’m a simple man, if I see the — symbol I know it’s AI.

He didn’t use it so I believe it’s not AI. Go test an ai out and tell it to write you a lengthy forum post topic and I 100% guarantee it will use —

Em dashes are pretty common, but not a sole guaranteeing metric. (Also, I know a bunch of humans who use them, though admittedly they’re all writers.)

I’m not going to say what these I detectors are looking for. So that people don’t start doing things to remove those things from their posts.

My very first semester in college I had to write a 10 page paper for my class. Just because people use paragraphs, punctuation, numbered lists, or un-numbered lists don’t make it AI. I can write 20 sentences in MS Word and then turn those into 20 numbered or un-numbered lists using a MS Word built-in tool.

And AI overuses them. It’s as if it’s gravitated toward it, it’s odd. I’m serious go test it out if you ask it to write you something even slightly lengthy it will 100% over use these.

Oh yeah, I didn’t mean to say that it doesn’t use them; it’s totally one of the patterns that it loves. Clearly they were over-represented in its training data.

Go look at my post history from 2021 and before, before chatbots even existed. It’s the same writing style. Why are you insisting upon dying on this hill, you paranoid attention-infant?

The only real way to fix this is to get rid of bots– The only way you get rid of bots is to dramatically increase the RMT penalty (atleast 1/3 of anniversary is buying gold rn dont lie).

1st offense = perm account ban

Easy done

you are amazing with your AI detection. you are truly one of a kind and should be honored and held up as a beacon for all to admire and respect. There should be monuments made for you so that your splendor can be enjoyed by all.

I’ve always advocated for 6 month and/or permabans, but Blizz won’t do it. People who buy gold buy boosts, so banning them for it is counterproductive to their bottom line.

Plus a lot of gold buyers use second accounts to buy the gold; even if they were getting banned the main account is usually not directly involved.
