Not really. We have lordaeron humans on horde as forsaken. Some of them are pretty old and powerful. Some of them would have been from dalaran as well. So it doesn’t really matter.
Like the order of Tirisfal

No matter how old they are (which can’t be much considering that humans are not supposed to have long life spans), without the elves that we have in the Horde, humans would still be relying on stick to beat each other over the heads of one another.
Forsaken were basically the most equipt horde mages. We even resurrect some dalaran mages in Silverpine. They were the best mages the original horde had. Darkspear mages are a bit weird imo. So I wouldn’t mind it staying as a forsaken order. The goblin is a nice touch. I used to have a goblin mage they are pretty cool and it show’s dalaran is now more diverse, like in the card games.
I don’t understand this statement.
Blood Elves only live a few hundred years, one of the side effects of their dependency on the Sunwell. There is no living Blood Elf older than any of the playable races in game…
Slyvannas was around a thousand years old when she died. Blood elves taught humans how to be mages (as former high elves).
Forsaken were the most equipt horde mages because they had experience as humans, once blood elves and then nightborne, entered the picture, they were displaced in the pyramid down to third place.
Idk humans seem to be op in this game. Our nightborne leader was scared of Jaina so…
Because we saved their collective bacon from an extradimensional and existential threat?
Oh? I wasn’t aware of that. Which is even more baffling because there are multiple quests and dialogue in the game which state that Blood Elves might live to be a thousand years old, but that’s a rare case.
Time to brush up on my Sin’dorei lore and see if Blizzard has enacted more retcons without me knowing!
Yeah don’t remind me about that pile of… sigh
I’m still kind of annoyed about that.
And yes, blizz loves to make humans into saiyajins all the time, but I still dream of a time when finally we’ll see humans find their niche as average/mediocre and let other races shine on both sides.
Which is what makes our undead cool cause they are sort of weaker then humans but at the same time eat them : ) and don’t need water or food and can’t drown.
Excuse you, but we’re better than mere humans, we’ve trasncended life itself.
Evil cackle
xD if you say so. Horde tend to lose in lore though more then alliance : /
Shh, don’t say that or the “Horde Bias” brigade will get you.
Totally agree, OP. I’m sick and tired of seein’ Horde groups bowin’ down to Human/Alliance leanin’ organizations. At this point, the Horde should want nothin’ to do with the Silver Hand or the Kirin Tor.
C’mon Blizzard, you give the Horde so many internal groups to draw upon, start givin’ them some acknowledgement instead of throwin’ us into Alliance themes.
(Observation): Anasterian Sunstrider was King during the Troll Wars, roughly 3,000 years ago. Alleria Windrunner fought in the Troll Wars and was still young enough to have a son around the Second War.
(Commentary): For the longest time it was assumed that 3,000 was about the maximum age range for High Elves. Then, ‘A Thousand Years of War,’ bumped Alleria’s age to over 4,000 and she’s still looking and acting young. Then we have the character of Lorash, a Blood Elf who is very vindictive towards Night Elves because he remembers the exile of the Highborne, and is over 7,000 years old, and still combat ready. Apparently the Sunwell gave High Elves something akin to immortality. Blizzard can’t seem to figure out what they want to do with High Elf lifespans.

I have read the article on Lorash before, for me however, the most interesting part is in the Notes & Trivia section;
Lorash claims to have lived through the exile of the Highborne which took place over 7,000 years ago, but that would make him far older than the High Elven lifespan is supposed to be.
There is then a link which takes you too;
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Life_spans
In this link there are quoted sources for all the various races, including the Blood Elves. Blood Elf lifespans range anywhere from only a few hundred, to three thousand, to seven thousand, to immortality. There appears to be no internal consistency on the matter.
Another interesting quote about High/Blood elves was;
… and though the weight of three thousand years had exacted a heavy toll on his body…
So, I guess I don’t know more than Blizzard does!
Even if we’re being generous with their lifespans, the quote made by Fortuna is still incorrect; even if we use Lorash as an example, there are no currently living Blood Elves older than a playable race in-game.
(Speculative): Well, Void Elves. Everyone is older than Void Elves.
(Humor): Next time I try to play a Void Elf and someone hits on me I’ll point out, “Hey, I’m only two or three years old, back off pervert!”
Oh my goddess! I laughed so hard at this I startled the cats… ah, that’s too funny!
Thank you for brightening my morning.
I would’ve agreed but that dumb city was made neutral again in Legion by that traitor Khadgar so no, let them have it. Otherwise, give us Alliance something to represent our mages too because Kirin tor is not a thing of ours,
