A little hyperbolic, just trying to get my point across

inb4 reaching 4k.

A succubus is a demon or supernatural entity in folklore, in female form, that appears in dreams to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. According to religious traditions, repeated sexual activity with a succubus can cause poor physical or mental health, even death. [Wikipedia]. If any group should be offered by this its the males. Being depicted as weak horn dogs not able to say no to a beautiful woman.

I agree with that explanation

Once xerath got booted, it was gg for warlocks.

Well we sacrificed a lot for demon hunters to exist

I was saying exactly that repeatedly and you rejected it each time.

But I guess if someone references wikipedia…

If anything, I rejected it only because that’s not what I was debating.

So you are here to have a debate? Or an argument?

You’re still hung up on that? Agin with the semantics. Stick to the topic please or stop trying to troll bait me.

My feeling is - regardless of what the actual sentiment of the community is - You’ll want to get the last word in on this thread… and keep the thread going for as long as possible because you believe you are right regardless of how many people take an opposing view.

I’m trying to understand the person who put forth this topic and seems hell bent on making sure it doesn’t die. Makes me ask questions such as:

Why did you make the topic here on the general forum?
Why didn’t make the thread on Warlock Class discussion forum?
After all removing the succubus would be a change to Warlock mechanics, Warlock themes, and Warlock gameplay.

The answer I come up with is you wanted more foot traffic from a general audience - rather than the more expert foot traffic that would be on the Warlock forum - even though those would be the people most affected by the change you are proposing.

Why does anyone post anything?

On the most basic level - anyone who speaks up on any medium wants attention of one kind or another - wishes to be heard - either to have information given to them or to give out information themselves.

But you can often tell more about a person by the way they seek that attention - what the more complex goal is. You believe that Succubus is a negative female image - and thus should be removed or tempered in some way… others see it as harmless or an empowering female image - not to be touched.

But all in all - the only thing this amounts to is changing the decorations on the titanic.

Blizzard’s house is on fire with misconduct - and rather than have Blizzard fix their massive internal problems which the public seems to want Blizzard to fix… You want the focus on this minor issue which the public - either can’t seem to agree on or if were to go with the majority of likes - believes should remain unchanged.

The only reason I ever mentioned likes was to point out that I’m not alone. Is there a disproportionate number of dislikes to likes? Yes.

I’m going to assume (could be wrong) that you disagree. I welcome dissenting opinions that are on topic. It’s when people try to illicit a response with knee jerk reactions or, in your case, psychoanalysis, that things start to go off the rails. Sometimes people get under my skin with that stuff. It happens.

People seem to think that WoW can continue in its current incarnation with questionable content. They seem to think that the questionable content is what makes the game great. I argue, it’s not.

There are some who profess that nudity as body positivity has the opposite effect then may be intended. Here is a study that outlines the negative effects of overly sexualized content in mental health. Maybe you’ll appreciate this, since it deals with psychoanalysis.
