When it comes to buying decor for our houses, it’s been stated that reaching exalted with different reputations will grant different decor from the quartermasters of the different reputations. My question is, if I reached exalted with a cataclysm reputation let’s say hellscreams reach, and it shows on my achievements tab, but later deleted that character 10 years ago. Will I still be able to buy the decor for hellscreams reach, or do I need to grind out that reputation again? Because if I go to the vendor today all items are red due to me not being exalted with that reputation on current character even though I have achieved exalted on a previous character yet no longer have that character.
I’ll add to this, it makes complete sense, that (we will just use night elves since that’s what you went with) a night elf chilling in ironforge for the past 20 years decided that he or she wants to study shamanism. Kind of blows my mind that not one night elf or dwarf didn’t see another class/spec this long and didn’t venture to learn those classes
But realistically, I think I just want every race to have druid form so I can see all the different feral and tank forms lol
I’m not sure if anyone asked but what time EST and PST will the Q&A happen and will it be on YouTube or twitch or both?
Will housing be a guild thing or just a character to character thing like the garrisons?
Are Trolls going to be a big part of the story, or is this mostly an Elf-centric expansion? I would rather not be stuck with a Elf-centric story.
Will it be more woke or less?
And will we be forced into a neighborhood with our homes or can we have a country home with no neighbors?
Protection warrior already does a gorgeous amount of DPS. What would It take to bring back Gladiator Aspect (WoD)? PLEASE!
Is there a limit to how far away Elves can be before siphoning the Arcane from the Sunwell? If so, how close to the Sunwell must they be? Some have stated that the Arcane can be siphoned from anywhere in the galaxy but Elves in TBC Terokkar Forest suggest that the Arcane from the Sunwell has its limits.
Can we get A weekly Q&A? There’s a lot of questions.
can we have seasonal raids like we have seasonal dungeons? i would love to be able to experience raids like naxx or karazahn or even dragon soul with my guild. progressing on it for a season and then have it revert back to a regular legacy raid like m+ dungeon rotation does.
will the professions have items we can create for housing? which professions will be utilized most for housing? will the items we craft for housing using professions go back to classic? will we be gathering copper and tin and gold and silver again?
I know you, Blizzard, talked about this being the first passthrough on housing. Are you planning on the exterior structure being more “buildable” like the interior is in a future update?
Blood elf customisations are quite limited compared to other races, will we get more customisation for them?
I realize that this is a Q&A for the devs, but I just want to point out that the only reason why Midnight won’t release until June is if we get another COVID type lockdown. Just like every other WoW expansion, the posted release date when the xpac first goes on sale is always some distant, worst case scenario placeholder date. Normally it’s December 31st, this time just happens to be in June. Soon (maybe Wednesday, Oct 1st, during this Q&A?), the actual release date will be announced.
I would guess that Midnight will probably release in late February or early March.
So two questions, both QoL, but 1) will Evokers get the ability to show our transmog in combat? 2) Related, but can we also get the ability to visage as a non human like NPCs can?
Will there be any new race/class combinations like Human Shaman or Blood Elf Druid?
Hi, will we be able to choose the interior and exterior of our homes? I was also wondering if the kitchen will be usable for cooking? Thank you! ![]()
Question: Are there any plans to re-purpose old content in Midnight and make them worth completing again?
Explanation: It really sucks that there’s no value to running old raids, dungeons & quests anymore. Some of WoW’s most iconic content is from older expansions. It’s clear that Chromietime was meant to be an answer to that but unfortunately, the result is; a leveling experience in dead zones (no player pop), extremely long dungeons queues, and a non-existent raiding experience. The reason nobody runs old content anymore is not because it isn’t fun… but rather because there’s no reason to. The loot is meaningless and I’m sorry but transmog doesn’t count.
If loot from those instances were still viable it could massively fill up time in between patches since the game gets a little stale around that point. It really sucks that if I want to run ICC for example, because maybe I never got the chance to when I was younger, that I have to do it completely alone and everything in the instance dies within seconds. That’s not how a raid is supposed to feel. It’s supposed to be epic, you’re meant to do it with other people and you should feel satisfied once you’ve completed it.
I understand the need to ensure loot from new raids still feels rewarding. You want to give people a reason to want to complete the new raid, that makes sense. Well this where your creativity comes in. Instead of constant power creep through insane jumps in item-level that are completely worthless. Provide loot that drops with unique passives or set-like bonuses. Heck, instead of adding a new spell to my already 24-button rotation, why not take the idea for that spell or talent-modification and implement it through meaningful loot that can be dropped by completing that raid. Heck you can even make that loot obtainable in easier content at the sacrifice of drop percentage. For example, a player who does not like to raid and prefers solo content can still obtain the drop from Tier 11 Delve for example but the drop rate of the item is 2.5% compared to 30% from the raid (arbitrary numbers).
The point is WoW’s greatest asset is the 20 years of content, storylines and loot items that already exist in the game. Instead of ignoring it all and treating it like the old uncle that nobody likes, it should be appreciated, championed and brought to the forefront of the experience when playing WoW since it’s what got most of us into the game to begin with. The resources are there - lean into them. Don’t shoo them away.
I could keep going for hours but at some point this post has to end so…
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. I appreciate the hardwork the team is doing and know that there is a bright future ahead. Looking forward to the Q&A ![]()
