Sub Rog or UHDK?

So I was planning on playing UHDK but following the nerfs I’m thinking I should level this Sub Rog instead. Thoughts?

Sub, Ret, Fire or Frost, MM, Disc.

These are the golden child specs, destined to forever be at least “okay.” Choose wisely.

Or don’t and reroll at your convenience.

Sub is stronger.
Also Unholy is getting a bit of a rework that cripples its burst mechanic in the 12.0.5 patch.

Unholy is good right now but not on the level that Subtlety is. What’s making Unholy good is getting nerfed in that patch.

Nothing’s set in stone yet, maybe they’ll be OP in other ways. But rogue is a safer bet for sure.

Why avoid a spec because it’s nerfed but also admit that it’s OP?

There should be patch notes today I would expect sub to catch some nerfs.

I haven’t seen any notes related to unholy burst since they reverted the DT/SR changes.

It no longer gives a charge of putrefy. Kind of lame. Sounds like they’re making a change just to say they’re making a change. Absolute boobs sometimes.

  • Unholy

    • Soul Reaper has been updated – No longer consumes all available charges to cast Putrefy. Instead, grants 1 charge of Putrefy when it is cast. Moved up to the 2nd gate in the talent tree.

    • The 12.0.5 Soul Reaper change has been reverted – Now consumes up to 2 available charges to cast Putrefy. No longer grants a charge of Putrefy.

This is still a nerf tho, its just not obvious, because the pvp talent no longer gives you an extra charge(unless they revert that too, who the f knows). So the burst will be nerfed by about 25%
