Stutters, Hitching, FPS drops after recent updates

I disabled both. It had no effect.

Here’s something interesting. In PTR I have zero problems. Its on the same exact graphic setting in retail. It is on my HDD instead of SSD. However PTR isn’t as populated as retail.

Disabling them does almost nothing, kind of like wow addons.

If you updated a few months ago and then rolled back, there have been mahy updates since you updated last. The newest nVidia driver was released on Monday, and that was the 2nd update this month alone.

I uninstalled MalwareBytes. McAfee is a real pain to fully remove so I left it alone for now.

In a quest to lower memory usage I edited my start up programs. Adobe, Steam, dropbox, and a few others no longer load on start up. Hitching has been cut in half.

Raid week is over so next is updates, addon, and drivers.

Anybody know how much memory WoW should be using? I’m now at 2.2gigs.

:dizzy: I think its fixed. :dizzy:
After slogging threw various forums I found a post saying Microsoft released an update at the end of last year that could mess with hardware, or something, and the issues could snowball . . . it went above my head.

The suggested fix was using Windows sfc and chkdsk. Then reinstall / update drivers. It worked.

Great! That means there was a problem with your Windows install, but it was repaired for now.
