In what world is 180k keys per day on the dead tail end of an expansion on a meme/throwaway season a low amount?
You’re kidding right ?
Of course you would, but then you enjoy being wrong about everything.
How many players are playing at the moment?
I don’t know. Do you? Please share those sources if so.
I don’t know either, so your original comment is speculation and lacks the necessary evidence to back up your assertions.
Edit: I’m not the one making claims that M+ is popular here. I’d love to see some actual data that shows M+ participation vs the number of overall players.
By that token, nothing is popular in WoW since we can all make up numbers of total players at will.
180k keys a day is pretty darn popular.
What original comment is that? I simply said in what world is 180k a small number to you.
It also doesn’t even matter what the overall active population is. 180k runs per day clearly means the feature is getting used and nobody besides Blizzard themselves is going to be able to provide any actual statistics. Raider IO can speculate and look at unique accounts by user-supplied data given to them, but it’s still downstream data and not source data.
How many of those are alt characters?
Before bothering to type this, surely it wasn’t lost on you that you play an abnormal amount and aren’t a good example to go by when discussing ‘what most people do?’
How is that relevant? It’s still 180k runs. How many people doing LFR are on alts? How many people doing callings are alts vs unique accts?
It’s a red herring. Irrelevant. The fact remains that regardless of if the runs are 90% alts, it’s still 180k runs.
Edit - And on a dead/meme season on the tail end of an expansion where participation in content is known to plummet to minimal levels.
This is probably a good example of hasty generalization then. Those numbers are being taken out of context here.
Unless you know the overall playerbase numbers, that 180k could be a lot or it could be a pretty paltry number.
Even the data from the other seasons doesn’t look that amazing if WoW has 2-3 million players.
Dude, at this point, that toon will move the goalposts to the end of the earth to fit his narrative that M+ man bad.
Same can be said for you. Honor level isn’t indicative of skill but really bet most accounts aren’t even above 30-50 honor level. Along with other metrics you got too.
What the game claims it’s made for isn’t really reflective of what we see.
I strike a nerve? Lol
How is it moving the goalposts by asking people to provide evidence for their claims?
This is another attempt at deflecting here because again, you don’t have a sound argument here.
Your assertions that M+ is popular is basically just bias and anecdotal experiences.
It is when you provide none vs people providing you a metric ton.
Here’s all the evidence you’ve provided for your claims :
No I am around where you are from what I see. Just chiming in.
Until we get a parameter of active subs on a day to day or at least weekly basis. Along with api to correlate all characters on an account as “one person”, no one will be accurate.
Just checking. Wasn’t insulting him for /played, just didn’t feel his metrics were fair when the average WoW player probably plays 6ish hours a week.
great question! i’m curious what the answer is. please share with us?
