Go priest, alpha healer, dwarf priest super alpha
Paladin gives you the option to be a heal god in PvP without without a respec from a raid build.
Paladins are decent healers and ret as I recall wasn’t even called DPS, they were called DPM because their damage was a joke.
Priests were the best healers, and shadow did pretty decent damage as well. Plus how can you resist Mind Controlling people into the lava at Blackrock Mountain
or mind controlling people off of the bridge between Arathi, or mind controlling people off of the great lift in 1k, or mind controlling anyone anywhere causing them to waste their time!
Considering it’s entirely likely (despite some people’s bias to the contrary) that Classic won’t be getting expansions, you’ve got plenty of time dude.
Priest by far… especially if you go alliance. Here’s the thing, priest leveling is SUPER easy. Wand spec + spirit tap = zero downtime. If you play a dwarf priest raiding guilds will beg you to join their raid.
Pally healing is tons of fun, but it will take you longer to hit 60, you’ll be wearing cloth for a while anyway, and you will be a buff/decurse bot.
Only if you’re a min/maxer in a min/maxer guild.
Lol.
Either you are being facetious or are ignorant, I couldn’t decide until I remember I read:
Sounds like your opinion about paladins has little weight.
Fixed it for you as that paladin will be a lot easier to level than a squishy priest.
Greater Blessings make being a buff bot a thing of the past. 9 globals at most every 15 minutes.
If you decide on pally, be prepared for a slow tedious grind to 60. Kind of like warrior it is arduous to level, but not because its hard, rather it is very simple with few abilities to micro manage. The reward at max level though is great. Having so many on demand life saving clutch cooldowns and plate armor w/ shield will make you a very strong pvp healer.
Priests have 2 flavors of healing and a strong DPS spec.
Paladins DPS spec isn’t very fun, is even less fun to level, and aside from the survival frankly I have never liked healing as one.
Priest, then mana burn paladins.
A winner is you.
Paladins dont have to spec into reckoning. Reckoning isnt even that good for leveling, its more of a meme. Also you can heal in any spec with any class that can heal until raid content.
Paladins are kinda fun because you can go holy/prot hybrid and be really decent at either tanking, healing, or support dps depending on what your group is missing.
Paladins are known as one of the worst leveling classes in the game. Next time Google it and form a counterargument instead of allowing your class identity to get triggered.
Paladins are the strongest healer in classic PVE.
Priests are the most versatile.
Both are in high demand.
Your gonna be forced to heal regardless so…
What are your goals? Raiding? PvP? Casual play?
Given that you have already played priests, I would say try a paladin and switch it up and go melee.
Priests have two healing specs; no other class has that. If you’re maining heals, then you’ll have more spec options than a non-priest.
Mind Control

Paladin is bu far my favorite classic wow healer. There isnt much distinction between single target and raid healing because every spell i can think of except chain heal is single target. Paladin can definitely heal at insane rates and are mana batteries. Id say their buffs are better then a priests in a single healer situation like a dungeon or even bgs. To me the biggest thing is they arent very reliant on others for their healing to be good. Priests really benefit from that BOW+ innervate being available.
With that being said though i absolutely love priest leveling compared to paladin. Paladins leveling is painful from 10 to 60 because the lack of interesting abilities
