Layering is interesting. Apparently the people are in different layers but the same mobs are in all the layers.
Right now we are doing nothing because the mobs are too high level and there are no opposite faction players lol.
LOL. Horde has dozens of players at Southshore but the big Alliance layer isn’t in this layer. PvPing Southshore-Tarren Mill ftw.

Tonight the queues were pretty quick, but initially resulted in a number of rounds of “No Realms Available 51900309”/back out/click play/No Realms available. The next sequence was getting to character select, creating a character, clicking Accept for about half and hour, then tossed out. On my next time in character select, I tried the random name generator and the quickest character I could create and tolerate. Then a sequence of “Error creating character” messages. Tried backing to the creation page and choosing another race/class but got the Error Creating Character, even before I had chosen the feature set. My thought was names couldn’t be checked or verified for doubles so it hung everything up and would’nt go into the game.

couldn’t get on had the same results as last week once test was over I could get on but was kicked off after about 20 minutes. they are intentionally kicking people off to get more people on to shut players up
Couple mins ago, when asmons army started rolling in, for a moment everyone and every mob disappeared, and reappeared after like 2 sec even tho i was fighting.
Seems like the layers flexibly adjusted to the load and put me in a different layer. And that’s what it looked like. Seeing popping out and in is not a bug. It’s layers adjusting then and there. You could say… i got layered.
Night Elf area is much tamer than Human. Gotten some good spots to farm mobs. Not much layering wise though.
Are you sure that wasn’t lag rather than layers? Swapping should not happen unless you switch groups. The streamer army was doing lots of grouping to try to get in the same layer, possibly overloading things, or affecting the layers.
Anyway if that was layer swapping then sounds buggy still.
Also Blizzard needs to put in restrictions on swapping layers such as 15 min cooldown, and make the layer persistent between logins, maybe other restrictions too. There should be no “dynamic” layer switching during combat.
Glad to help, would love a full Beta invite though to do more as currently I have nothing i want to do in the current game.
