In honor of everyone who participated in the Stress Test, and made it as AWESOME as it turned out to be, i made a (slightly cheeky) video with some highlights of it all! Even if you weren’t there yourself, you’ll get a good idea what it was like :slight_smile:

It’s also a video for the Classic team, because without them, there wouldn’t have been any stress tests, or any WoW Classic in the first place!!
Thanks so much for all your work and passion! I may not agree with the layering stuff, but regardless i really appreciate that you’re ready to bring Classic to life again and you try very hard to make it as successful as can be.

I tried my best editing, i never made videos before but this was such a special event, i had to give it a shot! This community is simply too good to not have it be captured on video for others to see all the fun they are missing out on :heart:

I’ve found it helps to ask nicely and not just snark at them. Worked for the 2 PTR account issue, and a few other things.

weird. i have an icon on my desktop for wow classic beta. when i click it, it opens the launcher but there’s no beta option in the drop down.

I notice that today as well, maybe they want new people to the next stress test.

They removed the beta from everyone’s client to avoid confusion for us that just have stress test and not beta - people kept thinking they had beta and losing their minds trying to figure it out on the forums and by contacting customer support.

One GM was spoken with and confirmed that at this time those in the first couple of stress tests SHOULD be in the next stress test.

Also sidenote but I remember you from our guild on stress test xD And you came and healed our WSG near the end there.

Hey again!

Currently most players only have quite limited access to footage that shows what layering actually looks like in the game. There’s interviews on it, a couple clips, articles, discussions and so on, but not that much detailed footage about it.

I figured i’d use my recordings i made from both Classic Stress Tests and show you how layering actually worked and looked like ingame, explaining the context of the situations at hand.
The way i experienced it aligns perfectly with how the devs described it should work even (aside from 1 big bug at the SW gate), which was quite impressive considering there were only 2 stress tests with it so far.

However, i’ll leave it up to you to judge whether the way it presents itself in the game is one you’re on board with, or not!

I put timespans to all the “poofs” in the comments and description, in case you mostly wanna see those. But i also show how layering can quickly and visibly turn small populations into big ones, and the other way around as well in the full version if you’re interested in a more in-depth look at it.

Hope it may be able to give you a better sight on how this thing actually plays out ingame with the community. That’s all :slightly_smiling_face: See you at the next Stress Test!! :+1:
