Streaming Dh in pvp

Excuse the self promotion please, but I’ve started streaming dh pvp and will likely also do mythic plus and raiding for the steam as well.

For those of you who think dh is unplayable or are wondering if it’s fun to play, feel free to tune in

Not to be a jerk, but anyone can do pretty good with a pocket healer like you have there. When I used to play a healer and did PvP I could make just about any average joe look like a Gladiator.

Low fps, bad bit rate, ui is too big, self promoting in forums, and not talking. Pls don’t post this again

Well, rated content isn’t available right now, so what can ya do

Happy to talk to people if they have any questions

Appreciate the option, I’ll have to check it out at some point when I’m free! Any chance you might consider a commentary to explain your thoughts/strategies as you play? Would be interested in seeing your perspective versus my more limited one; could help broaden my ability

Figured it’d be nice to see a thread that isn’t dooming the class and shows actual dominant gameplay haha

Made a lot of stream setting changes so I’m hoping the output is much smoother.

Yeah, happy to talk as well

Superb just A tier work . :clap:t4::clap:t4:

I have a couple havoc questions, if you don’t mind.

Would you say the build(s?) are more or less fun than bfa? Also legion if you played then? I’ve heard the main pve build doesn’t use first blood and therefore you don’t even bother pressing it? That seems pretty [redacted], if true.

Is the damage as bad as people say or is that just standard forum doomsaying?

I’m still trying to decide who I want to play, lol. I find myself missing my double jump / glide spam.

Well, Slands is far and away a better expansion than BFA, so it’s hard to differentiate how much more fun the havoc dh is to play in slands than bfa without being biased towards slands. That said there really aren’t many changes. We still have the same fundamental baseline toolkit problems.

The hunt is exceptionally fun to play around. It’s a borrowed power, but we’ve got it. Glaive tempest is fun to play with as well

At end game with talent builds, and fully realized borrowed powers, the class will be more fun to play. Chaos theory is the strongest legendary in single target, so we’ll still play with first blood and we’ll actually have a proc mechanic in the rotation that adds additional elements to the rotation (fury pooling before every blade dance).

Furious gaze being baseline and being % based gives us stat scaling, which is something we haven’t had since legion chaos strike refund being based on crit chance, so that’s nice.

At the moment it’s basically you run cycle in dungeon content and first blood in raiding / st content. Momentum plays well in dungeons, however, and momentum is easily a more interactive and higher skill cap talent build (though not mandatory to do reasonably well).

Our damage is fine. I always recommend making friends and avoiding pugging whenever possible as a general rule. That said, you may not be able to join dungeon pugs as easily as you would’ve otherwise in BFA. Still, if that’s your content, just get a good io score early on and you’ll be fine.

To my knowledge we’re simming middle of the pack, and we’ll always have at least one guaranteed raid spot for our magic debuff. DK’s are likely the only other melee dps who can boast they have a guaranteed spot.

Legion is a tough comparison. For a period, momentum and bloodlet were top performing talents. Those were better days in my opinion.

tl;dr yes, dh is more fun to play in slands. I’m having a blast with the hunt. We still have our fundamental core design issues, but i honestly believe the slands dh is better than the bfa dh.

The hunt does look really cool. One of the most fun looking covenant abilities that I’ve seen, for sure.

Ugh, I guess demon hunter is back on the list, then lol. I’ll try it out tonight.

Thanks for the response.

The biggest downfall to havoc is survivability, dps definitely feels mid range, slightly above in aoe slightly below in single target.
