WoW is still a social game. Competition and pecking order. People will compare themselves to others especially if they raid or engage in PvP.
People on the forums don’t compare themselves to the streamers, they straight up attack them like the streamer personally wronged them in someway. It’s like OP and other go out of their way to get mad at someone they don’t even know. It just makes them look incredibly immature. I can’t help but wonder the age of most of the people posting on here. I thought Wow Classic demographic skewed older than this.

I agree. Its like OP was waiting for the day some of them moved on from WoW to spite them. Quitting WoW does not mean you were exploiting or getting everything handed to you.
Im sorry but sitting in a chair to play WoW is the great equalizer: we are all making a nerdy and sedentary choice, whether you stream or not.

I am curious, how have these streamer and their preteen viewers effected your gameplay?
The median age group of streamer viewers is deep 20s and getting older

It reflects how many of my guild feel, which affects my own wish to play.
Also less publicity doesn’t exactly put me at ease.

How does it effect your own wish to play? Do you play on their server? Are you forced to watch their content? How do you even know what they are doing? My guild never even bring up streamers in discord and if you don’t watch their content you don’t even know they exist.
I just can’t wrap my head around how this effects your own personal gameplay.

Payo is a great gamer overall. Very rare that WoW appeals to such a guy.
