Streamers complaining about the LFG addon

I don’t go looking for groups, groups come looking for me.

If the majority find forming groups easier with an addon pulling the social legwork for them, those outside that group (no addon) will feel forced to get it to be part of the group forming automation?

Like…its not difficult.

Thanks for proving my point.

So you admit you AREN’T “forced” to use the addon, and it’s just your personal opinion?

Okay, and this is a problem for me how, exactly?

How is this any different from me, for example, saying “I feel forced to not play a melee hunter because no one will invite me to a group if I don’t play ranged”? If I made that argument everyone would just say shut up noob.

So I say the same to you, shut up noob.

Yeah, the streamers really are.

It is not a problem for you. Its a problem for segmenting the community into addon user vs non user, just as I’ve been saying.

Thats the issue here.

So they are lazy and don’t actually want to play classic. Thank you for proving our point.

I don’t have a problem with “segmenting the community” between people who like to be more efficient and idiots.

You have those two groups backwards, sweetie. The idiots are in the group wanting to make things “more efficient”.

Hey, and thats totally fine to feel that way, but more efficient is getting into a guild and not worrying about an addon finding you pugs easier.

Most guilds used TeamSpeak during Vanilla. Voice chat services were used frequently and relied on(you could easily get yourself kicked out of a 20 or 40 man raid if you were not using TeamSpeak), so I don’t have a problem with Discord.

I do have a problem with LFG addon. This addon should be banned or borken. LFG was meant to be social because you ask in the LFG channel, you ask friends, you ask Guild members and you ask people in or around the dungon if they want join you. IMHO, LFG service we have now ruined the social side of WOW.

I assure you, the add-on was on vanilla.
There were equivalent add-ons back then.

All this addon does is monitor chat. It’s like using a macro to send out a looking for group message, but it monitors chat messages so you can see whos trying to group up in a different window.

There’s no matchmaking. No teleport to dungeon. No extra or special rewards. It just lets you monitor who’s trying to group up, and send out looking for group chats.

There were similar addons in Vanilla. You still have to put the group together, meet up and walk to the dungeon or whatever you’re grouping up for.

That addon is already a thing. Shouldn’t be hard to add it to classic.

Agreed. Also not a streamer (well not one with a following anyway) and that add on is against the spirit of what Classic is.

This is becoming a witch hunt at this point. Get over the whole streamer thing. It is simply based out jealousy.

The LFG addon is toxic for the entire design philosophy of classic wow and 99% of the playerbase agrees it should be broken before launch.

Stop trying to find any reason to bash on streamers regardless of whatever petty, personal, naive reason you have.

How is it against the spirit? People in Vanilla would of used it if it was around.

Except these same streamers have been talking about how automation is bad for the game before they were even streamers. As well as every other vanilla WoW advocate. Automation is bad for the game because it removes the need to communicate with others. it’s not a hard concept to understand.

morons.

People would have used the LFD tool also. People would have used LFR if it was around.

The point was, it wasn’t, and they weren’t.
