Yup, I’m not a streamer anymore though I used to be kinda big back in the days of JustinTV, but I do have a friend who does alot of analytical stuff professionally for several big streamers today and we had a discussion not long ago about how to even get into it these days with the massive oversaturation.
Basically you need to use other social medias and specifically you have a massive advantage of you also produce YouTube content and use that to promote your stream over other streamers who don’t do this. It also drastically increases your chances if you’re good at the game or have something crazy happen that you can post to YouTube etc…that goes viral.
Finally another important thing is the data seems to show that streams where multiple people take part and become side characters for the viewers do better than ones without. This can be as simple as other people on discord etc…just using voice, so always be thinking about ways to add collaboration with others for the stream.
