Storytelling team doesn't listen to feedback

This is another topic that nobody address during interviews some of the Pre patch events have a meaningful lore related that’s always removed like the burning of teldrassil, there’s other questlines that were removed and players already mentioned several times like MoP cloak questline…etc

Nathanos was a world boss for SL pre patch and it was the only way to trigger the cinematic against Tyrande, now any new player must watch it via Youtube and Blizzard still has it marked as “SPOILER”…

Damn I don’t think I did that and it’s removed? How disappointing.

They actively pay the writing team to put out hot garbage. i happened upon the description for the job when browsing online.

Well they do exactly what they are hired for which is to put out hot garbage because the story since cata has been nothing but hot garbage, it bothers me they don’t hire an actual WoW player with some talent rather then the story and lore butchers that are destroying WoW now.

Why won’t they hire a few vanilla players to help with the story I’m sure we care about and know what WoW needs obviously a lot more then the current writers if that’s what you want to call them

I love this, wow

When the feedback from players is usually some flavor of “you all suck and should be fired” I’m not sure they much care what you have to say. Nevermind that half the time WoW players cba to actually read quest text in the first place…and here you are asking them to put novels worth of stuff in the game? Fascinating.

I didn’t say anything of that, but I got your point, there’s a lot of players that can’t provide feedback without insulting devs.

Yes, specifically on quest lines using the same storytelling that MoP on which you can control npcs and live the story, a lot of novel elements could be discarded and keep those in the book while the main events and important lore moments could be implemented in game, instead of the current side quest that we’ve to kill x amount of npcs like the worms at Ardenweld or the Jiro questlines in Zereth Mortis…etc , Quest Designers could implement those main lore elements in the game. And if you don’t want to read, just skip those dialogues, cinematics…etc like right now in game but Devs could implement fun questlines that you won’t skip or are not mandatory for the players that won’t needed it, skip for alts once you do it once…etc like the quest on the following video that you used Shokia as main character providing cover to Kyrin.

I hated being forced to do that quest! jk I wasnt forced

Well not everyone likes every kind of quest implemented but I think Devs have several options that could be combine, scenarios on which you character change to a disguise, mounting combat, this example from MoP…there’s multiple options and maybe new ones to bring a novel plot to the game.

Example, the Meeting in Arathi during Before the storm could be similar to the Revendreth party game on which you go and talk to different npcs, serve food, etc. and then a cinematic showing that sylvanas order the dark rangers to kill the forsaken that tried to flee the horde side.

That quest was good, maybe I was thinking of something else. Yeah those are really good. One that stands out to me is huln highmountain. LOL

True, they used the same mechanic with Huln on which you destroy a lot of demons also gaining powers and they explained the whole moose ornament for Hightmountain tauren.

Something bout The Ebonhorn too I bet thats guna have somethin to do with dragonflight.

Stop quoting Twitter, you’ll go mad!

well I do neither - I don’t want more cinematics and I almost never watch them even once. The few times I have watched them really didn’t add anything to the experience.

If you don’t like the story then go read some other books, games, or comics. As much as players think they are entitled to develop the game and story, they aren’t.

Yeah you’d think her story was done, but as typical in totally in Danuser fashion

Seems a partial fix for this would be putting the novels up for digital downloads on the Blizzard store that players could pay for with Blizzard bucks. Get the stories out there for players to see and sell some tokens at the same time.

If you hate a book an author wrote, are you going to send them a letter telling them how much you hate it and how you would write it better?

Comments like this don’t pay attention about the feedback provided and just change the thread nature, I said that Blizzard could do both a book and also provide the novel plotlines in game via different content at least the main events, that’s on my OP message…
