Story Mode Raids

In other games, not at all. It’s treated as a solo experience or you go with NPCs and just yourself through the entire dungeon or raid. You don’t get achievements, you don’t get much of anything from the bosses (and if you do, it’s very low end gear and no special drops like toys, mounts or decorations), you don’t get any loot from trash. It’s there to literally be a story mode.

Pretty sure in SWoToR it was just an easy mode raid. I don’t think it had a “queue” (at least when I played), but it was just an easy version of the raid.

Alternatively Blizzard could make it so that not every major plot point ends in a raid…but you can’t have it both ways.

Can’t force the story to end in a raid every time, then be confused why people want their story mode raids to be accessible (i.e not waiting for months or watching it on youtube - which i guess most of the story is given outside of game in books anyways so maybe it is intended?).

Does that necessitate a solo mode? Maybe? I’ve always thought 20 was too many and LFR should be 10 man.
