Strange, I just did it today on my DK who had no progress, just got 1/5 and went straight down. Wonder what would cause that.
Was going to do my own thread on this, but that may be pointless. Devs might be just as likely to look here as anywhere else so after experiencing it my thoughts are as follows.
Locating and even knowing the quest was available is a zero score, I wouldn’t of known it was there had I not been told, I doubt this is the experience the devs was looking for when creating such an accessible version of raids. However that leads me to the next point of conversation.
How I would like to see this used in the future, This has the potential to be really transformative for the World of Warcraft storyline, There was likely limitations on what they could do due to the inaccessibility of raids and guaranteed raid completion in the past. But now you can guarantee a completion raids can easily become part of the Main Story Campaign, this would make it so the quest is easier to find as when it’s available it would just be in our quest log to go see the Quest Giver. Additionally as being part of the Main Story Campaign you can make meaningful changes to the world after a raid is complete as there is no reason to hold back on this if everyone can complete the raid. Giving you a strong way to deliver story and the progression of the world as the story progresses.
The general experience: While there was no way anyone could fail this encounter I still felt like I was in a raid, There was other npcs with me, there was enough mechanics involved but could be ignored if you desired that there was a raid experience there. It felt like I was in the middle of an epic fight and things was going down. Being able to see the story first hand instead of watching on youtube video somewhere really dug into immersion. I would enjoy seeing full raids like this in the future and not just the final boss. Specially if each boss has some story element attached to it.
Imho Blizzard you are making great strides in this expansion to give good will to your solo community and I hope you dig deeper into that and really explore what this opens up for you.
good post copper specially this part clap clap

I loved it. Even if we got her down last week during our raid, I still would have done this because it’s nicer to see the story without raid chatter going on, something of the fight (though super easy, which is fine) and the cutscene which I manage to not spoil for myself far more easily this time.
Funny moment, however, was when I was standing there before the fight wondering none of the other players were gogogogogogo-ing or yelling at others to gogogo… before I realized they were followers
I saw some of the NPC followers in a dungeon jumping around and it made me look twice like whaa? lol X) It was really fun to see that!
In theory, yeah… but they needed a lot more raid participation in order to justify the costs of creating them, so LFR (as we know it) was probably inevitable.
