When was that?

BC: Unambiguously not a villain.
Wrath: Pretty clearly not a villain but also a fool.
Cata: Giving mixed ā€œnoble villainā€ and ā€œscenery chewing villainā€ vibes. The former is still arguably evil but not, you know, Sauron.
MoP+: We have entered the Giga Hitler threshold.

I liked the first two and a half. I am a sucker for young idealists who make mistakes and can grow. Garrosh was a different kind of idealist—one not animated by an abstract virtue but by pride in his people—but an idealist nonetheless. I felt for him as someone who had been haunted by the sins of his forebears, overcorrecting a bit as he learned there was more to the story, and thought he would mellow out with age. Alas.

Yes, yes they were.

Almost at the end of the story now,

He was willing to let Draenei raiders kill his village cause ā€œdaddy was evil, abloo-bloo.ā€
I have wanted to drown him ever since.

Actually watched a documentary on the guy. Real interesting life. He was a gay boomer with a rough upbringing so he got the double life and childhood trauma angle of Batman pretty personally.

And there’s definitely a very different multiverse where he was a main stream actor. Because after years of commercials and playing side characters on shows like Dynasty he finally landed some auditions for lead roles. But then he got outted as a gay man publicly in the 80s so that was the kiss of death for his career.

Took on this audition for Batman having never done VA work truly expecting nothing to come of it. And they’d auditioned literally hundreds of actors for this role. But a lot of them where channeling the sillier Adam West approach when they were going for a serious gothic noir approach.

And him being a classically trained serious dramatic actor utterly nailed that.

And lo and behold he becomes the most associated voice of one of the most iconic fictional characters in the world and wound up spending the next 30 years putting in more hours in as the Bat than anyone has, and perhaps ever will.

The Liam Neeson Naked Gun was actually pretty funny so I’m praying Space Balls 2 crushes it.

Not because I’ve extreme fondness for Space Balls. I’d argue it’s one of Brook’s weaker pictures. I actually prefer Dead And Loving It which is a minority opinion to say the least.

But Brooks is a literal American Hero. Not only did he walk around disarming mines with hand tools as a combat engineer, but allegedly rigged up a sound system so he could drown out a N@ZI warsong with his rendition of ā€œToot, toot tosie goodbyeā€, seen below;

Not aimed at the men by the way. Aimed at the Germans. Just to confuse and irritate them.

C’mon universe. Don’t one of Earth’s mightiest jokers leave this world without one final hit.

Today I reached maxed renown with K’aresh and got everything I wanted from the Delver’s Journey so I’m basically done with TWW. Midnight alpha when?

So I learned what Baby Metal is and I’m really offended they haven’t collabed with Rammstein. They should have a song about the horrors of war and repentance for slaughter.

Then you know just bust out a song about how n̶e̶x̶t̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ ̶w̶e̶’̶l̶l̶ ̶r̶u̶l̶e̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶l̶e̶n̶i̶a̶ ̶. ihr wertlosen Schweinehunde.

Ahem

About International Cooperation! Yay!

Did you see the video of Baby Metal teaming up with Rob Halford of Judas Priest?

I’ve now. God I love cultural clashes.

You know who I really want to see them collab with?

Could make a song about Tokyo. Not as much history as with Moscow. But there’s recent history there. Unpleasant but history.

Also the Japanese seem to have a reaction to German. Knew a Japanese exchange student who was really into me when she learned I could speak German. Particularly when I spoke it in a sharper, more authoritative way. When my natural accent is ā€œFriendly Innsbruck Innkeeperā€.

And I thought that was a her thing but the number of anime I’ve seen that are inexplicably German is a lot.

My ongoing theory is it comes off like French or Italian does to Americans.

Warlocks be projecting hard with this one! Or this is the fantasy version of NWA.

Reminds me of the good old days maining Rogue. We actually had a group of five rogues at one point just jumping people.

And nothing beat running from the Alliance. I remember distinctly knowing when to jump on the river between Elwyn and Duskwood because it was just deep enough to dismount you if you didn’t know when to hop.

Haters gonna hate.

A female Scarlet Crusader, her stark white hair cascading over her shoulders, stands confidently at the Taco Bell counter. Her red cloth armor, emblazoned with the fiery emblem of the Scarlet Crusade, gleams under the fluorescent lights, drawing curious glances from other customers. The armor is lightweight, tailored for agility, with crimson robes accented by gold trim, slightly tattered from battles past but still striking. She adjusts her tabard, the bold scarlet cross prominent, and leans forward to study the menu board with intense focus, as if sizing up an enemy.ā€œGive me a Crunchwrap Supreme, extra spicy,ā€ she declares, her voice carrying the authority of a seasoned warrior. The cashier, momentarily startled by her commanding presence, fumbles with the order. ā€œAnd make it quick—Light’s work waits for no one.ā€ She taps her gauntleted fingers on the counter, the sound echoing faintly. Her piercing gaze sweeps the room, ever vigilant, as she waits for her meal, ready to purify any chalupa-related heresies.

Been playing No Man’s Sky because of the newest update and really enjoying the ship building.

Also being able to free float in space is nice. Sometimes you just need to relax in the vastness of the void.

Someone actually reported me for setting a Atomic Recalibrator at the Great Seal in the bank. Now I’ll just keep doing it every Tuesday.

Playing BG3 for the 40th time. Playing dual crossbow sword bard thief fighter mix for the 27th time.

Just feels like the Canon Tav for me. You’ve peak Charisma skills so you’re the face of the party. You have magic but mostly for CC, utility and emergency healing. You’re devastating at martial combat but not in a way that outshines anyone’s default class.

And by end game with 6 in Swords Bard, 3 in Thied Rogue and 3 in Arcane Archer Fighter your raw damage is insane, and if buffed with spells and the right gear you basically turn into a machine gun.

If you’ve saved your Baric Inspirations, Action Surge and have Haste you can turn have something like 20 attacks in a turn.

Just waltzing in to fight the Netherbrain like;

Impressive. Which party members usually accompany you?

Assuming you recruited them all, with that Tav I think you should always have Gale and Shadowheart, because of the heals, buffs and arsenal of spells available. Then have a combat monster, preferably Lae’zel or Minthara (I like Karlach, I just think fighters and vengeance paladins are better for melee than barbarians until higher levels).

I like the other party members I didn’t name, I’m just taking from a gameplay perspective (though I will admit to liking Shadowheart most of all).

I usually have Astarion around to be my skeleton key. Usually have him be an Assassin that dips into Gloomstalker so he’s not only a brutal ambusher but his multiple vanishes let him bug out when it’s looking like a TKP is definite.

Beyond that this playthrough I start with Karlach then swap to Lae’zel once her rages are spent. Karlach is a BEAST with the new Giant Barbarian class. In addition to be able to throw most enemies around like they’re rag dolls she can also empower her weapon with elemental damage, throw it and have it magically return to her. So the lack of range isn’t that big of an issue.

Then I have Gale, Wyll or Sheart depending on the situation. Gale I had go Divination this run so he’s more focused on utility spells and those foresight dice can completely turn the tide of battle. Wyll I multiclass into a Sorlock so he’s there for pure raw damage and the big AoE spells. And Sheart’s the heals, always bring her with to the big battles.

We’ll see what happens when I rescue Minnie. I’ve yet to use her much. First time I saved her I was a Paladin so not much use there. Then on a Sorcerer run there was a weird glitch that had her in her underwear the whole time. Which might sound like a bonus but it just looked ridiculous.

Wildheart barbarian + Vengeance paladin + Hexblade Warlock
Resistance to almost all damage in the game is hard to scoff at.
