This made me so aggravated! They really needed to emphasize the peril of being in the Shadowlands in the first place and taking that element away made it all the more stupid. Did we not have to have this massive, unskippable (for the first 50% of the expansion no less) ritual of re-assembling the pieces of the Helm of Domination to even GET there?
Not to mention Taelia’s meeting was NOT time sensitive and her presence was not relevant whatsoever so they really could have saved that as a heartwarming piece of dialogue AFTER we got home from the Shadowlands. It stuck out like a sore thumb and further suspended any fantasy they were trying to imbue into the ‘perilous afterlife’.

While technology is a factor to consider, I’m not sure it counts as it’s offset by the much greater timespan and international reach of the religious groups I cited.
There’s also two problems with citing the Ustaše, though you’re right about the group being horrible. First, the Ustaše ideology was a blend of fascism, Roman Catholicism, Islam and Croatian nationalism, so it can’t be fully laid at the feet of religion. Second, even adding the Ustaše to my list of religious extremist groups still gives that list a lower death toll than the aforementioned communist regimes.

It’s a shame how much content was cut from WoD alone. Draenor doesn’t really feel like a planet, with just one continent. There was supposed to be a continent at the south that would be the home of the Oges.
We were also supposed to visit the island of Farahlon. They gave Yrel a HoTS line to make fun of the fact that they scrapped it. “Have you ever been to Farahlon? It’s so beautiful! I pity anyone who has never been able to travel there. What a cruel fate it would be to hear about its wonders without ever having the chance to see it with your own eyes. Oh well, anyway, I’ll send you a S.E.L.F.I.E. next time I’m there.”
By the way, how’s that game doing now, Blizz? Oh, yeah, it’s in maintenace mode.
Alpha Gorgrond and Alpha Shadowmoon looked so different too. A shame.

Had my internet on the fritz for two days. To the point where I had to be unpleasant over the phone with my provider. Which I don’t like doing but this is pretty vital for my job so not the sort of thing I’m willing to push off till Saturday.
Do find it amusing though. I swear machines can smell fear. If all I’m doing is playing WoW or watching Netflix I’ll have an immaculate signal. Millisecond I actually need it to attend an online course or communicate with clients it goes to ish.

A news reporter was recently stabbed to death here in Vegas. At first, they thought it might be random Vegas street crazies doing their random violence. But the authorities are investigating links to some of his political stories, and it could have been a murder due to his work.
People can really go crazy over the simple things, like the truth.

Fun Fact: Black Holes take an Infinite amount of time to make a Singularity.
The only thing of a Black Hole that exists is the Event Horizon and all the matter frozen beneath it as the Event Horizon accumulates in size.
In otherwords the Singularity is the concept of Infinity reaching it’s end Beyond Infinity in a Gravity Well in an accumulated mass.
Only something that can survive hitting the Event Horizon can see Beyond Infinity because time speeds up for them Beyond Infinity due to Time Dilation.

The Lightyear movie was dissapointing because it revolved entirely around time dialation and I think they did this just because they wanted to make Buzz’s name, Lightyear, the whole plot of the movie. It was so boring.
It was the flimsiest excuse to make a Toy Story expansion movie. It was trying too hard to be Interstellar for kids.
It came off as nothing more than a cash grab to me. Explains why people aren’t even watching for free on Disney+. People don’t seem that interested
I’m tempted to watch She-hulk just because of all the criticism, and complaints of bad CGI.
I also see House of the Dragon is taking major liberties from it’s source material, which is probably for the best.
She-Hulk is actually pretty good. It’s funny and not nearly as bad as people claim

Lightyear is a bad movie because there’s already source material they could’ve used that they completely forgot about. The Star Command cartoon serves the purpose for what Andy saw and it had good characters and lore. They could’ve made a CGI movie using all of that. Instead the creators wanted to selfishly make their own thing. I mentioned this awhile back but the people at Disney are making things that mostly interest them instead of thinking about what the consumer would like.
