Which should be scaring the hell out of people, but that’s what some people want. And that’s even more terrifying, its another third reich in the making :cow:

Do politicians have ulterior motives moves with the things they do and say? Yes

Should that mean we should allow bad law to persist in our Government? No

Will politicians use this as an opportunity to pass more bad law? Absolutely

Does that mean we should stop fighting for a better tomorrow? Yes, because your vote doesn’t matter and we are doom to a future of corporate feudalism anyway.

Do yourself a favor and give up. Go back to your video games and your tv shows and your tik tok and pretend like you option matters.

is that Nathanos?

“Why Nihilism is fun” a Ted Talk by Akiyass.

Nah, it’s…

it looks like Stalin-Nathanos.

Either way, akis not wrong. Americas corporate overlords already rigged the system and convinced people their voice still matters

“yeah but that’s the way it is, we let Capitalism get so out of hand. We may as well just let it take is course.” is the most defeatist attitude I have ever seen. Okay, let it get worse then.

I’ll be over here watching your country implode in horror.

It’s already imploding in on itself. Sometimes things have to burn to the ground before it can be rebuilt better

And the court situation is pretty clear evidence of that. Completely separation of the Abortion argument, it is a pretty bipartisan idea that Roe Vs Wade was bad law.

It makes the Abortion argument a state issue, rather than a national one. Yet media outlets, who are supposed to be nonpartisan and unbias in their reporting, is telling people it’s a national ban on abortions and whatever else. Conveniently sparking the country in a political debate just in time for elections in November. Funny how it always works out that way.

Nothing to see here. Defiantly not getting puppeteered. Certainly no carrot on a stick hanging in front of my face. Just follow the herd into the slaughter house, it’ll be fine.

It’s not Capitalism, it is Government overreach. When corporations can influence law makers to pass laws that edges the market in their favor, then its not a free market, and not Capitalism.

Anyway…I feel like either trying to sneak into Stormwind or do some fishing in westfall. Options here, either sounds like fun honestly :cow:

That is free market Capitalism. Using whatever mechanisms available to make a profit is its very definition.

I actually agree with Dreadmoore. He’s right, this will mean that PoC will be charged more than others, poverty is one of the leading causes of abortion, adding to the pipline to prison. Prisons will become like workhouses for free labor. Meanwhile, any women in red states who is found guilty of losing a pregnancy, planned or otherwise, will face felony charges, which means she will lose her right to vote. Red states will become more and more radicalized.

I am a Pro Choice Democrat, but I did disagree with the way the Democrats have been fighting this fight.

They could have codified ProChoice Federal Law during the Obama years. But some on the Left felt making a new law would be tantamount to admitting it is not already settled constitutional law. That was short sighted.

Alot of Democrats took for granted how easily the whims of judicial activists could change the country.

I disagree.

It takes alot of suffering and pain… but eventually America can change. The Constitutional Amendment process has added Women having the right to vote. As well as Presidential Term Limits. (Term limits are popular, but I am not a fan of Term limits. Bill Clinton could have beaten GWB and been president for life, for all I care. He was the only president to leave office with a surplus in modern times. Why ditch a good president? They are clearly hard to find.)

Anyway, voting can have an effect. I encourage anyone who can to vote. Even those who disagree with me - because eventually, people can change.

Growing up, I knew an older guy who was a life long Republican. He became an independent after the Bush years, and the first time he voted for a Democrat in his life was in his 70s, when he voted for Obama. He regretted Republican policies and voted Democrat the last few years of his life.

The guy and his son told me I was right about the Republicans. They became independents, and voted Democrat from then on.

Every now and then, enough people see the light and do the right thing, which is : agree with me.

Trust me, every pro 2nd amendment person knows this all too well. It also won’t be necessary because in time the red states will become more red and the blue states will become more blue so everyone can go about their lives and not have to worry about what people legally do in the states they live in.

Exactly this! There are people out there who actually think there is a national ban on abortion and this narrative is so dangerous it can spark riots that can lead to people being hurt or killed. This is beyond ridiculous how false narratives are used to fuel a political agenda.

There are snap orders being imposed in places like Alabama, this isn’t just propoganda. Real women’s lives are at risk in some states.

Exactly. The problem with this being a “state’s rights” issue is that people cannot simply move to a state where they are safe or where they will be treated as an equal human being or what have you. This is an issue of human rights, not state’s rights.

Watching 80’s media about Afghanistan is either pure cringe or hilarious to someone who has actually been to Afghanistan.
