Salandria is the best lead coming out of the PTR, she absolutely has ties to the Infinities by how the Bronze wanted to kill her when she was a kid.

All the Old Gods are defeated. The Void still has some tools it can use though, such as the Infinite Dragonflight and Xalatath. I feel like this expansion might be setup for a cosmic threat we’ll be dealing with in the next expansion. My theory is that the Infinite Dragonflight gets created here since it’s the Void’s last piece on Azeroth and that leads us to going to the Void in the next expansion. If Blizzard wants to use their “magic caster secretly studying Void” trope they seem to enjoy, I suspect Sindragosa will have a Void tome or somesuch in her archives that sets this off for us.

This is just not true.

Thunder Bluff being destroyed in the Emerald Nightmare raid is mainly due to Renferal believing that the Tauren killed her (in truth it was the Twilight’s Hammer) and in her nightmare fueled haze, took revenge on the Tauren. Destroying Thunder Bluff in her nightmares. Hence why her boss encounter takes place there.

I wonder how Blizzard will tackle that, because it happens to Dornaa as well. I do hope neither of them gets the villain bat though. But I can see one of them getting it while the other doesn’t. Given that the Bronze Dragon says, “we shall not punish them for what they will do, or will not do in the future”. Which knowing Blizzard, would be Salandria who gets it. Since she is getting focused atm.

Was that in The Shattering? I thought they were Orcs not Tauren. They were pretending to be Horde, but I don’t think they were particularly masquerading as Tauren were they?

It was in the shattering but Renferal believed that she was betrayed by Runetotem. Since it was Runetotem who told her to go to that spot iirc. I just say that she believed she was killed by the Tauren in reference to that.

I do like how Blizzard used that for the backdrop for her encounter in the EN raid, but since that little detail was in a novel, most people who aren’t lore nerds were like, “wait, why are we fighting her in the ruins of Thunder Bluff?”.

What’s your proof?

The fact that the Void Lords created thousands of Old Gods and threw them into our reality in random directions.

We have only seen 5 confirmed Old Gods that were made by the Void Lords (4 on Azeroth, 1 that was being summoned to Draenor / Outland). And 1 that was made by accident (G’huun).

Although there is the in-game theory that Xal’atath (the entity) was an Old God (as originally 5 landed on Azeroth. Chronicles vol 1 doesn’t state how many landed on Azeroth, just how many Aggramar saw when he found the planet).

Ny’alotha is just a vision, for starters.

Yogg-Saron was hinted at breaking free from his prison in Ulduar in the Legion pre-patch questchain.

I fully accept C’thun and Y’shaaj are both dead. But N’Zoth and Yogg-Saron are still both very much alive, and N’Zoth will break Yogg out of prison soon.

The Dragonflights were created for the sole purpose of fighting the Old Gods, specifically Yogg-Saron, who was too powerful to be contained.

It’s more likely Cthun and Yogg-Sarron are in a coma like state, since we never destroyed their physical bodies. N’zoth and Ysaarj are very much dead though

As of this moment there’s no other Old Gods on Azeroth, not unless Blizz creates new continents and puts Old Gods there which would be new lore.

I’m under the impression that Yogg Saron left behind echos kind of like Yshaarj’s Sha. N’zoth got obliterated by the azerite cannon so he’s definitely dead.

guys stop killing my buzz, I was finally hyped.

you all talk big about Danuser self inserts but what about this guy?

You missed him.

Anyway, I’m tired of my paladin. If I end up buying Dragonflight. This will be my new main, so I may as well start posting on her full time now.

Yogg-Saron boasts about his corpse leaving shadows that will choke the land for all eternity as we kill him so he outright admits his demise while also announcing that his corpse is leaving shadows(which we see as Saronite Echoes in Legion).

His Saronite Echoes taunt us as being pawns for forces yet unseen… Ah yes… The Unseen Guests… The Nathrezim…

Yogg-Saron’s chains were weakened by the Infinite Dragonflight as well as Cho’Gall so it seems he knows what Murozond knows!

Murozond is backing Yogg-Saron and N’Zoth! Everything is going like how Murozond has foreseen not how Yogg-Saron and N’Zoth has foreseen! Incidentally Murozond and the Infinite Dragons appear to be empowered by Lightning the same way as the Primalists in Dragonflight are empowered by their chosen Elements.

There’s a Dreadlord in the Many Deaths of Chromie, so yeah, this tracks.

Moorgard IS a Danuser self insert.

Well them and people who didn’t pay attention to the talking heads during the raid:

Malfurion Stormrage yells: The illusion of corruption falls away! Behold a druid who was as a sister to me… Elerethe Renferal. I feel her loss keenly, heroes.
Malfurion Stormrage yells: The Twilight’s Hammer ambushed and murdered Elerethe, misleading her into believing Hamuul Runetotem played a part in her death. It seems her spirit was so twisted that she sought to take vengeance upon all of Thunder Bluff.
Malfurion Stormrage yells: You had a deep love for the lands of Alterac, old friend. I vow to tend the vale in your name.

Most people (including myself) find them annoying tbh. So I can understand why people would simply skip them. Others might have their sounds off and just ignore reading the dialogue boxes.
