I guess people make outfits and transmogs their own way. I usually go for some sort of theme.

For my Warlock, I started with the idea of eschewing the common Red of the Sindorei and the Horde, and focused on Black and Gold - and built it over time to something I am happy with. Down to the eye color.

Maybe go for a theme?

I found Hunter Transmogs pretty rough, in general.

This is Curseword’s Hunter

I went for a simple woodsy ranger type thing. Huntsmen type. Nothing too flashy, some green and brown.

I also have a pirate outfit - some of the nathria gear goes well with the bloodsail hat.

I have a more tech looking set with the SoO gear and a Legion gun (I need to get the Mechagon Ray gun to make it complete).

I guess I start with a theme in mind and see what I have that fits, and then go hunt for pieces that might fit. But I am not as satisfied with my Hunter Mog options when compared to my Warlock or Rogue or Druid or Pally.

Looking at Shadowlands I see the potential for getting a Magical Girl to wish for multiple new Systems to be put in place:

  1. A System that simply modifies Souls Gems to not get corrupted. Would be used on Madoka since her Wish would be used to create all the new Systems. Would also be used on Homura.
  2. The Kyrian System where an grants a Wish in exchange for becoming a Magic Knight with the offering of the Path to become an Angel with the punishment for emotional conflict being to fall into Despair and become a Mawsworn obsessed with destruction and torment.
    Would be used on Sayaka who would not get the chance to become an Angel before witnessing Vesiphone ditch the Angels because the Archon gave Sayaka a choice not to become an Angel while also witnessing Devos become a Mawsworn in Despair(and start leeching the Karma from Madoka to fuel her transformation before Madoka kills her) over watching the Archon let Vesiphone leave unharmed.
  3. The Automa System where the Automa stuffs a Grief Seed into a 3D-printed Construct empowered by Golden Energies programmed/mind-controlled to not act Witch-like and instead act normal and sane. Would be used on Mami after getting her to become a Witch.
  4. The Venthyr System where the Magical Girl gets converted into pure Soul as they get tortured for Fear(Red Anima sent into the sky), Desperation(Red Anima dumped into a lake) and Hope(Black Sludge dumped into another lake) before granting them a new Body with the power to transform into a Knight of Atonement. Would be used on Kyoko.
  5. The Necrolord System where you get Green Necromantic Powers at no cost aside from the public disdain for Necromancy and would be offered at a time where refusing would be certain death(from some random attacking enemy not associated with the Necrolords). Would be used on Hitomi.

Ok. I have my “for now” transmog. I do not know if I like it, and nobody will see how basic it is until the forums update my avatar between now and the end of the next expansion.

Edit: And now I’m having trouble recognizing both my own posts and my in-game avatar because they look different and I don’t know which I like!!!

I missing a helm and shoulders from mythic tomb of Sargeras to finish the Shaman look for my Beast Master hunter. Gotta wait until Tuesday for another shot :frowning:

Since when do the Dwarves have ships? There’s two dwarven looking ships parked outside the Darkspear starting area. I never noticed them before, is this new? They look like the ships we took to Northrend in WoLK as Alliance. What are they doing in Durotar?

I mean, it’s amazing what you can make out of a cactus apple.

If there is one solitary thing from WoW that I wish was reality, it’s the option for instantaneous travel, because now I’m staring down the barrel of all the driving, flying, and buses involved in getting back to my small town in Alaska.

I usually make my transmog out of the most recent gear that’s ingame and make an explanation for why my character is wearing it. If parts of it don’t match it’s because that’s been done purposely, my character took it as an upgrade because the protection is more important than the look. Most of her current armor pieces were taken from mawsworn she’s hunted, her crossbow is from a Broker assassin she killed, and her gloves are from a Maldraxxi she beat in a fistfight. A lot of her sets have been made of pieces she’s taken as trophies. I like the helm because it feels mandalorian to me.

I was going to post on all my trolls, but I have enough so that it’d be less cute and more annoying, so I’m done now.

But I also have a lot of dwarves. So maybe they’re all visiting.
