One of my alts I keep in front of the SW auction house and I log on to him several times a day. I would say over 95% of the time there is someone next to the mailbox on that auction house mount seemingly AFK. I’m just really curious, why do they do that? I’m not complaining, it’s convenient essentially having the AH right next to the mailbox but I’m just wondering what’s up with that?
Bank and AH toons, TSM goblins etc. They’re a thing.
They are cleaning their inventory of goods and lining their pockets with gold and trinkets. Great exchange really. They don’t have to travel at all. Some enjoy dabbling with the auction house, while others dabble in other parts of Azeroth.
Some people aren’t born heroes. They pay 5 million gold to become them.
Commonly that’s a second account where they can do their AH’ing while running dungeons, raids, pvp, or whatever on their main account.
And us villains pay the 5 million to dismount the AH npc to troll others.
i.e. Batman
It was custom on my old server for some very insecure people to stand by the AH mailbox all day with their newly acquired raid gear, hoping to get a couple random compliments to sustain their fragile ego.
