I’m a bit late to the discussion.
After leveling my Stormbringer Enhancement Shaman to 80, which was a struggle in itself, and playing a Mountain Thane Fury Warrior, which was both extremely strong and fun, I no longer wanted to play my Enhancement Shaman.
When I first saw the Call of Thunder talent tree, I actually thought it was a visual glitch showing a Shaman talent tree option. Then I realized it wasn’t, and my first reaction was, “Fury Warrior with Stormstrike? Heck yeah!” since I love playing both Shaman and Warrior. However, I find it ironic that the “Stormstrike” ability doesn’t deal Stormstrike damage, but the Thunder Clap ability that procs into Thunder Blast does.
I think the biggest issue most Enhancement Shaman mains have is that Stormstrike hits like a wet tissue. This could easily be fixed if the damage type were changed to nature or Stormstrike damage. I believe giving Warriors a Stormstrike ability that deals nature damage just adds salt to the wound, especially since they are strong in every type of content in the game. Other than that, I think the Mountain Thane sub-talent tree is super fun.
TLDR: Give Stormstrike nature or Stormstrike damage!
