Store transmog and why It's a problem

I do that a lot. I am terrible to buy for, so usually I just end up getting stuff from shop and telling my SO “You got me xxx for my birthday.” He does the same with Steam stuff.

Is it more fun to get things in game? I suppose it depends on the method. I ALWAYS prefer that things are added in game over a shop though. But sometimes, I can’t always get what I want.

Other MMOs and gaming companies are doing the exact same thing Blizzard is doing, only so much more and arguably worse. They just had a head start. I suppose that’s why this doesn’t bother me.

When you play FF XIV for so long and watch as so many outfits get added to their shop almost weekly, that tends to give one some perspective.

You don’t lie. I’d literally be homeless if I didn’t have self control on FFXIV shop.

Ok, I exaggerate, but you get the idea.

Things are always sweeter and feel better when you’ve earned them. If you worked hard for a new car you’d really relish that - if you got handed a new car you might not treat it with the same reverence. I’m generalizing I know. Earned always feels better, but I’m not going to throw my nose up at a perk

[edited typo]

And I have indeed earned just about everything I have, one way or another. That does feel good. However, I’m not all up in arms like some over an outfit added to the cash shop. Many gear sets already available in game look so much better anyway.

Woah, pump the brakes…you’re not telling me what MY own words include? ETC did NOT include grinding gold to buy tokens to pay for in-game transmogs…don’t make up assumptions about what I LITERALLY WROTE LOL

That’s like saying “Well…you said you listed acitivies you like to do outside and said etc…so I thought that meant that you liked to murder people as well…”

Grinding gold and buying tokens is COMPLETELY irrelevant to a list of fun in-game activities. Pretending it is, is literally trolling.

You literally just made something up, though…you can’t prove anything you said to be remotely true at all…that’s the problem.

I can literally say I did research on google and found subs to be 13 million.

The fact that you honestly think you’re automatically right because you said “I did google research” is honestly adorable though. I honestly have to believe you’re a kid at this point. Bless your heart.

What was this?

Literally my thread about my opinion…you guys are trying to say I’m wrong. It’s the equivalent of me saying my favorite color is red and you guys trying to argue that It’s actually purple.

I didn’t realize people have to put “in my opinion” in every thread for people to have common sense and realize anything anyone says is their opinion…YIKES.

Hence why I made the thread, I’m stating my opinion…you can disagree and leave at any time.

It never changed, though. You made a HUGE false assumption about my point…and now you’re too upset to admit you’re wrong.

You never said that in the past, so it’s just “making gold is a lot of fun for some people”

Which is fine, It’s also not fun for A LOT more people. HAVING gold is fun, making it, for a lot of people, isn’t fun because it requires effort into things that generally aren’t fun.

I mean, I’d love for someone to quote this and say “I have more fun spending money on things than playing and earning things in-game”

I mean, is there anyone who really has that opinion? If so, why are they playing the game?

I am on the fact that it sets a bad precedent for the game in general, making it worse and adding more things that I personally and many others (as seen on the forums) also dislike. I don’t know anyone who has more fun spending money than playing the game.

A troll video.

Literally, it was a link to a youtube video with a clip from Troll 2 the movie. I decided against posting it.

I just did the research, I know what info you’ll find. Again, not my fault you are to daft to look it up yourself. You’d rather spend hours here arguing with multiple people and saying “no you!” whenever anyone disagrees with you and not providing any sort of factual information beyond your own bias speculation/opinions.

Doesn’t get more child like than that.

Where were you when they added store mounts then? Or cosmetic helmets? Why is this where you have decided to draw the line?

I am sorry for making a huge false assumption about your point by directly quoting your words.

Apparently we can’t trust your words as being accurate.

Apparently not if you had to remove it… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I found info that said 13 million subs.

Insulting people because they won’t agree with your made up research…BIG YIKES.

LOLOL DID YOU ACTUALLY JUST TRY TO PULL THAT “you insult me” card … clearly you arnt reading your own responses.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Insanely ironic because you pointed the you’re a child finger first. :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Fair enough. I decided that it was childish and removed it. Obviously I was quick enough because you didn’t see it.

I’ve complained and shared my disdain since the cash shop was created. Partial reason why they never added more transmog items after helmets was because people like me voiced our disdain for the cash shop transmogs.

My words were 100% accurate. I said via in-game means all of which someone would say are fun, hence why we’re all playing…you made a huge assumption and tried to say “YOU SAID!” when I never did, that grinding gold is somehow fun, which I’m assuming here, but if we made a poll for…most a majority of the player base would say is NOT a fun activity considering if it WAS fun for a majority, Blizzard would be out of business and prices for basic items would be 500k because it’s so fun everyone would have gold.

Not hard, replying to people who are trying to argue with me that paying real life money is somehow more fun than earning items via enjoyable fun in-game methods

Most of which don’t actually have points, they just want to argue and get attention from anybody they can.

Well, I had points. You just didn’t agree with them and don’t understand what the word “objective” means.

I do find this quote highly amusing, however. Especially coming from you.

It might also be because they were a little too overpriced, but okay. I’d like to see you cite a source though that proves that the community fought and won sticking it to the man regarding cosmetic helmets. You claim to have a lot of research under your belt, after all.

So after getting on to me about making a “huge false assumption” you defend yourself by making an assumption.

Interesting strategy.

Remember guys: OP not only has a strong opinion on this, but also believes it’s okay to remove people from groups if they’re wearing the transmog.

Thank God. I’d never forgive myself if I wasn’t paying attention and actually healed them.
