Considering most people who play at that level know each other and likely played with each other at some point it would be pretty pointless.
Besides the point of stuff like the MDI os to watch how great players llay in the best environnement possible.
Most recent MDI finals got 164k views. They arenāt chasing elitism for YT fame, if anything it gets them the opposite. They could probably stream a still image of Goldshire and get more views than that. People recoil in horror from watching MDI. They chase elitism because the design goal for end game is for players to create a 3rd party businesses for run sales, but presented in a way where the P2W has some distance from WoW team for plausible deniability reasons.
MDI (and WoW esports in general) are watched by such a small part of the WoW player base. The amount of concurrent viewers MDI and Arena tournaments get is barely even worth having those events. Itās like 10-20k viewers vs the millions that play WoW. I guarantee those events have the significance of an ant when taking into consideration game design and balance.
