We absolutely should report people who go fast…
… so they can get a medal for their service. Heroes the lot of them.
Why are you even playing an mmo then? Go play COD or CSGO with this dumb toxic sweaty tryhard mindset.
some of the stuff i read on the forums are wild. like i dunno if im just detatched from the regular playerbase this much but this post just reads like a copypasta that can’t be real.
If you demand a certain way a dungeon should be run, you should make your own group or run with friends/guildies.
Or, you know, level your own tank.
Well them being completely different genres aside… Were deep into 10.5… 10.7s around the corner. I’m not sorry that I want to level up as fast as possible so I can enjoy the game. I HATE leveling. Stick with a guild group if you need things to be slowed down.
Objection; anecdotal.
So what if it is a longer wait and you are just making the assumption that the majority want a fast run. You are pushing back on an suggestion that would not impact you or be that hard to implement. You are suggesting that we just keep what we have but that is not working for everyone. There is no reason to be afraid of having options.
Seems a pretty safe bet considering these threads. If most of the groups are going fast, that’s what folks want. If that’s not the case, then this is happening rarely enough that we don’t need a systems change to address it.
People aren’t gonna be happy in a queue that takes forever. Having options is only good when they’re good options.
I do have to shake my head when lowbie tanks pull too much, die, and then rage leave the Dungeon.
Like, you’re not on a maxed character with all the abilities unlocked. Slow down.
I know where OP is coming from but I’m part of the people who likes doing leveling dungeons extremely fast, I’d rather just get to the end game as quick as possible, I feel like taking your time in leveling dungeons is just boring and it makes me drowzy.
Im certainly not opposed to a way to get the queue to find people who match your interests. I do wonder how popular a newbie / take your time queue would end up being. I get the feeling itd die pretty quickly because newbies eventually stop being newbies.
No. If I can pull the entire wing up to the boss, and survive it with no/minimal help - I’m not going to slow down.
The more you segregate queues, the longer you wait for parties to form. The more you aggregate queues, the faster group formation is. You’re quite correct in your assessment.
If you remove queues and make grouping manual for level cap players, you solve at least part of the issue while restoring important lost social aspects of the game. Sure tanks will still be unkillable as level 15s in Freehold and Razorfen Downs, but at least you won’t have the ilvl 418 tank queueing into Normal Neltharus, murdering everyone just because 3x Luck of the draw makes his dungeon soloing faster.
We already have the system in place it is just adding another option. I also would not call it a safe bet. People may not want a fast run but may put up with it because that is the only option they have now. And I know you are going to point to the custom group maker again but that is not really a good option either.
I get you enjoy the status quo but it is not for everyone. It also would help with people trying to learn new roles without the pressure of moving fast and failing to keep up.
If you offer someone 2 options :
1- Fast run. 40000 xp.
2- Slow run. 40000 xp.
The odds of anyone picking option 2 are slim to none. So people queuing into 2 will wait a long time vs people queuing into 1. What’s the next step ? Asking for Blizzard to put a quota on option 1 so more people are forced into option 2 ?
There’s already a “New player” queue btw : it’s called Battle for Azeroth dungeons.
Fair enough. Either way we’ll never have any metrics to show how many players prefer each style, so we can agree to disagree.
If most people want slow runs, then that’s not the only option they have. All they have to do is control the pace either by leading the group or kicking players who are rushing them.
Fast leveling dungeons are just the new norm because people want to get to endgame. For every tank that wants to rush the group, there’s a full group of DPS/heals ready to start pulling because their tank is too slow. (Another very regular complaint over the years)
maybe he’s your daddy
sorry for the cliche but git gud
Dude some people think dungeon running is end game content. Five man scripted m+ = leet powers!!
So when they get into leveling an alt it’s hard to turn off those powers because once your leet that’s it man. Step aside ![]()
