I’m actually thinking of quitting just because I no longer want to be associated with the plain stupid idiots who are making some kind of issue about this when its quite simple to sub for a month, then once the payment goes through, unsub.

so i can’t get the 180 deal no more which lowered the montly fees. now it’s 22 bucks a month, no choice. thats bs. ya op, we get it, it doesn’t effect you: it does to me so ya. gg. greedy buncha #%#%s.
What are they doing to time cards?
Change to game time w/o sub to 60 days only now. Subscriptions are staying the same. I don’t see the reason to have any outrage. It mainly just affects those who purchase game time with wow gold. They’ll now be forced to dish out enough gold for 60 days. I have no sympathy for them. They’re playing the game for free.
The cards are gametime so I’d imagine they are going to cycle out the old cards with 60 day only ones. I think they were 30 or 60 day ones? Not sure if a 180 day card exists.
This is worth asking in the Customer Service forum for clarity if it hasn’t been answered already.
Edit: so wow tokens will be 30 days still or will they jump to 60?

Use a debit/credit card? The only ones who use battle.net balance got it for free as a gift or with game currency. If you buy blizzard balance for any other reason then that’s on you to be limited to what blizzard decides to do with their own currency.
Aight, you trollin.
You keep using the same faulty argument.
Blizzard giving players the option to pay with gold is a really significant advantage to Blizzard. Sure the person buying the token with gold is not paying any dollars but SOMEONE paid Blizzard $5 extra for you to do that. They are making a ton of extra money at the expense of rich boys/girls paying IRL money for fake game currency.
On topic, this is clearly a money grab from Blizzard aimed at keeping populaces captive for longer. Now those who want to play for 1 month chunks to see the new story/content in short bursts is now effectively paying double to play the game. Even if the botting argument is real too, this still benefits Blizzard since those bot accounts now also pay double.
I’m just calling a spade a spade. At this point, I’ve lost a lot of faith and respect for Blizzard and wish they never sold out to corporate interests, but at the end of the day they are still better than nearly all the competition.
Oh and to throw out a nice contrast…the FFXIV devs literally have the opposite mindset here. They willingly admit and are ok with players coming and going and run the game/company accordingly. This move by Blizzard clearly was done solely for their benefit, but honestly the company is run solely by corporate shills so it is to be expected that moves like this will be more common.
Also INB4 tokens end up eventually getting changed to where a player effectively needs 2 to be subbed.

Oh please. The subscriptions still reflect the discount for multiple months purchased. It’s if you use wow gold to fund your blizzard balance, which is free so there’s no room to complain if you’re playing the game for free.

I’ve seen this mentioned a couple of times, but I fail to see the relevance. That you once could buy 30 days with “Blizzard Bucks” but can’t now? Maybe don’t bank your cash in a virtual corporate currency? Maybe because things like this change happen?

To clarify, if you use wow gold to fund your blizzard balance, you can only use blizzard balance to purchase 60 days game time. WoW token will still be 30 days if you redeem in-game with whatever gold price it is.

Realize that the issue again isn’t about the -SUB / UNSUB- . Yes, it is simple to do, but it is also unreasonable to assume everyone wants to interact with that payment method after having these other gametime methods for so long.
Keep in mind, the issue is more so about options being removed. Also keep in mind that not everyone wants to do the subscription method. Some people don’t even keep their credit card on file.
any change
Dude, that’s not “any” change, that is a blatant money grab, forcing you to spend a minimum of $30 rather than $15.
As a workaround, I will be buying a 30 day subscription then cancelling it after it is billed.

I mean, that’s why I never bought into it, but I’m still going to be empathetic toward those this effects. A warning would have been nice as well so folks could cycle out their balance.
Then again I lose my easy cheap 30 day to poke around and done access and now have to do a stupid loophole of subscribing and canceling. Meh
people do not no how to money , it is the same cost , 2x month 2x money

Great! so this will not have any affect besides being on an active subscription instead of using blizzard balance. This will only affect you if you use in-game currency to fund your blizzard balance wallet. Which if you do you’re already playing the game for free. Do you really have room to complain?

So, when you go to buy a gallon of milk at the store, but they will only sell you two gallons at a time, you will be ok with that?
