I play on a PvE server already. So I don’t need to delete my character because I spent 5 seconds thinking about it before I chose to roll PvE.
I’ve been playing since Vanilla. Not “played Vanilla” but actively playing every expansion that has ever been released. So I already knew that PvP servers were going to be awful because they always have been. Just trying to pass on that wisdom.
Not rerolling will not keep people in their unbalanced servers.
Right now, they have already established their current server is unplayable. You are right that most won’t do it. But this won’t keep them, they will simply unsub. This is already happening on a mass scale.
The game you enjoy is bleeding players. Short term, this is great for Horde. “Lok’tar Ogar! We win! Run you alliance cowards!”.
It impacts Alliance today.
It will impact Horde 3 months from now. Perhaps earlier.
Then why are you even posting in this thread- if it has nothing to do with you and you don’t gaf about pvp players, why post? To show that you don’t care, to show that you’re happy players are quitting, to show that you think it’s funny that players got shafted on balance?
Grats, you got what you wanted, other player’s misery- enjoy it.
I have a 44 on another server. And no, not because of some imbalance either. It’s on a pve server. But why would anyone delete their toon when they can just leave it. Stick it in an inn and let it build rested exp too.
A major factor in this is because Classic WoW is nothing like Vanilla. Vanilla was special because it was new. Classic is a 15 year old game where people have instant access to videos online that can tell you how to do anything in the game , that normally takes weeks/months of experience playing the game. This has caused players at launch to quickly advance and gear up.
There are always going to be small issues when we are trying play an unbalanced, unfinished game that thousands of people know how to take advantage of.
What an idiot. Retail isn’t dead. It skyrocket after classic phrase 2. Nobody want to spent time in trade chat when you can do content. I think I turn off trade chat itself. Lazy classic fanboy don’t even have flying or gear cause they have to do the requirement.
Guys, please go PVE. I know it’s not what you want to hear but my server always has people running all manner of things. It may take a few minutes for a group but even middle of the week there are people doing things. I am about to start working on an alt, lets RFC!
Let’s look at this from the Developers perspective. They release classic. They make it well known that classic will be as it was at patch 1.12 and what is going to happen on a PvP server vs a PvE server. People who then role on a PvP server whine about not leveling/not being able to raid/ etc etc because they are getting ganked on a PvP server. People demand BGs be released because they think it will stop (lol). Dev announces release of BGs. People complain it’s too soon. People complain it’s not soon enough.
What is the correct answer to these issues where the outcome does not involve a time machine? Please someone tell us all how they can make EVERYONE 100% happy. I promise you it’s impossible.
The answer in my mind is if you don’t like the game, don’t play it. What in gods name did you think was going to happen on a PvP server? I just for the life of me cannot understand how EVERYONE DID NOT SEE THIS COMING. Re-roll on a PvE server. I mean come on people.
What if that’s not true? What if, in fact this is actually healthy for the game? We asked for Vanilla and we (arguably) got it. The people who aren’t cut out for classic will get weeded out. The people who are cut out for it will continue to play with like minded individuals. Seems like that would make a better overall community.
