Worlds also feel bigger when there is more content, at a variety of levels, to engage in.
Right now, once you do all the low level quests in Elwynn Forest, there is no reason to return save for Holiday Events.
That doesn’t help the world feel bigger. It shrinks the world because once you’re done with an area you can forget that it exists.
The first step here would be to exert even the slightest inkling of self control over your own actions and not use any of the conveniences you seemingly hate so much.
But that would require two things. First, that you actually are capable of exerting any self control in limiting yourself. And secondly, that you actually hate these conveniences aren’t just here to stir the pot so you can amuse yourself.
I chalk that up to them changing from a “page 1, page 2, page 3” to single page scrolling system.

The thing is, that’s about all Blizzard ever seems to listen to. They don’t listen to reasonable suggestions. They listen to Fire, Pitchforks and of course, massive loss of Subscriptions.
That’s all they ever listen to. I wish they were willing to listen to reason, but they have a reputation for NOT listening.

Perhaps for you this is true, and perhaps for someone else it is not. If you dislike the portal system that is in the game, you can opt out of using it. If you want to take things slow, you can do this as well. I personally like the portal system because I do not want to spend my limited time traveling, I would rather spend it engaged in doing something constructive for that I how I enjoy this game.

[/quote] Don’t know about Bethesda, but EA did listen to their fanbase when the Command & Conquer fanbase went into a frensy when they announced the C& C Rivals rts was going to be a mobile app game. Not long after that uproar they announced they were going to remaster C&C Tiberium Dawn, and Red Alert for the p c, because that’s what the fanbase has been asking for along time. They are bringing in some old Westwood studios folks to help with it. Hopefully if those to remasters do well, they will remaster the others in the rts series. Not much of a fan of EA , but I’m looking forward to those remasters:-)

There is a portal that gets you closer. The cata portals (uldum being one of them) are not being removed. Because they’re part of the story of Cataclysm.

precisely why i can’t wait for classic. unless they screw with that also and don’t leave it at vanilla only. its going to be a permanent classic server. forever. everything you attain will be permanent. the gear will finally have a cap. no more wasting time gearing up only to have to grind all over again.
toys, mounts, etc. all things you can get everything of with nothing else being added. probably take me 4-5 years but i’ll have an end goal that is attainable.
Fly to BB take boat to Ratchet then fly to Tanaris from there. proboly 10-15mins ETA.
