Not really, and if we use the 5% that youve provided, you definitely cannot make that assertion without the other 95% present. Look, I know you will die on the hill you are on, and if you want to do so, I dont really care. Again, you are entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong you are. And SINCE you are going to die on that hill, I am no longer going to debate it with you.
This happens because modern WoW players have become the lowest common denominator in MMOs.
It was funny playing Endwalker and watching all the WoW players coming over and pulling ahead of the tank and in typical tank/healer fashion, we watch them die as the base game has some difficulty.
And they rage and quit.
I say this in full confidence as a tank who started in TBC and got my first real taste with MT heroic.
The modern WoW player does not want real difficulty in the base game and wants the cheesiest/easiest way to show achievements/ mounts to flex on people from being IRL underachievers themselves.
If you disagree, please tell me why else WoW remains the only multimillion player MMO that dunks on casual players at both the player and corporate level, and why gladiator boosts are such a booming business.
just starting?
that phenomenon goes away real quick when youre out of the tutorial arc.
i’m just going to assume youre kidding or an extreme alt enjoyer cauz you got them acheiv points ![]()
Maybe some people like tanking for new players to the game and don’t like how sweaty no lifers for some reason are clinging to the ‘tutorial arc’ causing lots of players to quit.
lol, when i tank, if people pull for me cus i am “not going their speed” i just straight over pull to make people die.
i know i will survive, but most DPS wont. then i will go
“oh man, i thought you guys wanted to go faster? why did you die?”
If i get kicked, i get kicked lol ![]()
Edit: so that people don’t squeel at me, this is in TW/leveling dungeons. not M+ ![]()
It’s just so funny these posters are circle jerking to tell newer/casual players to ‘get out of tutorial mode’
But why are speedrunning sweaties in the ‘tutorial mode’ in the first place, griefing learning players?
Why were we fighting R1’s in the 1600 bracket in numerous rated brackets ![]()
Why do random BG’s have full conquest players in premades
![]()
i tank this stuff all the time. just keep doing your thing. if they die, they die. if not, the run might go faster. either way, you’ll get your loot…
Easy to go back to setting everyone’s Hp appropriate for the dungeon level boosted up or scaled down
And see DPS die in 3 white hits from enemies.
Clear this degenerate behavior real quick.
Why are tanks not pulling more in general? Pull to the point of being sketchy.
Tanks are the true support characters. The better/more you tank/pull, the more you let other people excel in their given roles.
Why pull 4 mobs at a time and remain at 90% health the entire time with thr healer just DPSing? If the healer isnt needing to heal, youre not using your role sufficiently
You’re a bad tank. That’s the problem.
So these people annoy tanks, tanks decide tanking in general isn’t fun with pugs, people start to complain there aren’t enough tanks and their queues are too long.
The tanks getting kicked and throwing tantrums in timewalking aren’t the same players limiting queues in M+
If they’re pulling so slow the DPS is having to run ahead, kill the mobs, and not die. It’s a good thing they’re bowing out and not doing M+.
In PvE and PvP both.
WoW no lifer addicts : bully, gate keep, and run new or ‘casual’ players off game.
Also no lifers: “PvP is dead! Why are queues so long??”
Man babies learn the bed they made.
I don’t feel bad one bit
I’m not only talking about M+ people also complain that heroic queues are too long.
But I have seen people say that they tried learning to tank but people in Timewalking, heroic or leveling ldungeons wanted to go go go and pull for them. So they just stopped. The M+ pug pool is losing tanks, you need to have a way for new ones to join and scaring them off in other content isn’t a good way to make that happen
Timewalking dungeons are not the place to learn to tank, heal, or heck even DPS.
The M+ pool is low because tanks are just rolling dps because it’s a more enjoyable experience. The amount of players isn’t the issue it’s role balance, you don’t need new players to fix that.
So they join timewalking to learn, the first learning lesson is that they’re too slow, and instead of learning they quit.
?
Except it isn’t always people pulling too slow, I did Timewalking and the first boss of mana tombs pulls the entire room. So I was gathering the trash when the dps decided I was being too slow or something and pulled the boss. I survived but 2 dps went down.
Was I pulling too slowly there, or was the overeager person just wrong?
If you’re tanking your firsts few dungeons I think it’s expected that they’ll go slowly. They don’t know their abilities, they don’t know the limits of their class or group.
You’re expecting someone to start tanking and in their first dungeon chain pull it so it’s over in 4 minutes?
