they dont care about hong kong any more which was shorter then i thought i guess shiney new wow and d4 made them forget about it.i thought the hk rage would last until 8.3 at least but i was wrong.
they just want to jump on a fake blizzard hate train and still pay $15 a month while blizzard laughs all the way to the bank.
I was going to add it to the list, but not until 8.3.
Fixed that for you.
Stop being a PR advertising tool and a good little edgy lap dog for your corporate overlords.
The product can be decent and corporations do provide benefit. But that doesn’t mean that as corporate citizens, and they like to pretend they are people, they are good people. They’re usually some of the most evil, abusive, narcissistic, and dishonest people you’ll ever meet.
Providing a decent product is just a means to those ends.
As for this charity, it should be all the money for a set period of time or they need to be VERY clear about when the cap is met. If they are going to market this as way to virtue signal they need to be very clear about if your money is actually making it to the charity.
It’s in a very intentional grey area between come buy this pet and the first $1000 dollars goes to charity or the first billion, and we wont tell you when we reach that goal. They want to gain the charity benefit of greater sales and a better image while keeping a lot of the money from a bunch of do good suckers.
if you are so petty that the only thing you can see out of this entire fundraising effort is that blizzard gets a tax cut the problem here is you not blizzard
What is there to be concerned about? Blizzard flat out states where the money is going to. If your concern is that if this some how goes over $3,000,000 then that has already been addressed dozens of times.
I don’t know what they’re concerned about. From some replies I was just under the impression some people feel once that money is given to Blizzard that the players giving the money can’t really say anything.
Nobody is denying that, heck, i’m glad they are doing a good thing.
I think it’s important to know that you don’t have to be a 100% with or against something and can display your concerns, even if you do 100% agree with something.
LOL! Nice micro-parsing of facts, dude.
If you want to get “technical”, the minute you buy the pet, it is Blizzard’s money.
You gave money to Blizzard and they give it to the charity.
Blizzard created a vehicle to funnel money to a charity. They made it possible for people to be part of a charitable contribution to a couple of worthy causes.
How can people be so petty as to inspect this for excuses to complain, when, as others have noted, there are other actual things that justify unhappiness with decisions that Blizzard makes.
Like so many other things in life, when you “cry wolf” over EVERYTHING, even things that are justified begin to lose impact. Being petty over things like this do not give someone more veracity when they turn their attention to the next object of complaint.
It just makes them look small and petty and a complainer of all things Blizzard.
In other words, their complaints lose merit in the eyes of those who know they are serial complainers.
I imagine the beneficiaries of the charitable donations will be most gratified by what Blizzard sends them, however Blizzard chose to fund raise the money.
That’s how money works.
If you give me money, it’s not your money anymore. It’s my money. You paid for a good or service I provided. If you don’t trust what I’m going to do with money then don’t give me money.
Why is this suddenly a hard concept.
they just want to hump on a fake blizzard hate train.
That’s fine, but why is it wrong to let people know about the fine print? It’s not like we’re saying not to buy the pet. I bought one for myself and a few friends the moment I saw it was available. I’m just not a fan of things that say “This thing is true!**” **This thing may not be true.
I mean, would it have been so bad to just say “Now through Dec. 31 we’ll donate 100% of the purchase price, up to three million dollars”? This honestly would have made me want to buy the pet more . Three million is a lot and I’d want to make sure the pet hit that mark.
Fine print? It’s right here :
Only because Blizzard has stated the money they receive will go to charity. If they didn’t, no one be concerned exactly where the money went. So, although after exchanging hands it is no longer your money, you were still told by quite a large and reputable company that it would be going somewhere specifically.
Why would they want to say anything when it has been explained exactly what is going to happen with their money? The first $3,000,000 goes to charity. It is fairly clear. It has also been shown that these have never gone over $3,000,000 and if they feel so strongly against potentially making Blizzard money, then they should donate directly. Kind of open and shut.
They expect us to READ?!?!?! That is some messed up BS right there.
Because its Blizzard. And Blizzard is big meanie poophead company that is literally always wrong no matter what.
Even when it raises money for charity apparently.
They expect us to READ?!?!?!? That is some messed up BS right there.
Yeah I know…

I don’t think anyone wakes up in the morning and says ”GAH I HATE BLIZZARD!!” Pays blizzard 15$ so they can complain
People complain because they care about this game a lot and are very passionate, they want to see improvements not 5 steps back.
343 studios gets flamed ALLLL the time. And rightfully so imo.
Hideo Kojima is getting flamed and loved for his newest game.
This last year for blizzard has been a real disappointing mess, they really need to work on CLEAR SIMPLE COMMUNICATION.
Which they can’t seem to understand.
I don’t think anyone wakes up in the morning and says ”GAH I HATE BLIZZARD!!” Pays blizzard 15$ so they can complain
Are you sure?
