Speak for yourself. I like a dynamic world where things popup and disappear now and again. I’ve been asking for it for ages. Makes the world seem more alive.
Um. You don’t speak for everyone.
I LOVE limited time events. I think they add a nice flare to the game when things are in a lull.
I also like earning things in game, so them giving us stuff to EARN is pretty nice - considering they don’t HAVE to put any rewards in.
Kind of ridiculous how many people are “mad” about this, like don’t play if you don’t want to.
Do I think they should have added something with PVE? Yes. But acting like Blizz did something awful here is so childish. They literally gave us something TO do. It’s just not what YOU wanted.
Limited-time FOMO-heavy events = Increased engagement metrics.
It’s for the shareholders benefit, not ours.
Ahh the Titan of alts has reared its head.
It’s too soon to leave feedback about this game mode until we’ve actually played it!
No offense, this post (and too many others) is nothing but a list fears, everyone so worried about “their” game being ruined or a player being “forced” into doing something they don’t want to. That is a you issue, not the game or content being introduced.
I think because they want to test new game modes or just new things with their engine and then seeing if ppl actually like it or elements of it so they can make it or parts of it more permanent in the future.
Which is kind of worse. They’re abdicating responsibility for the likely FOMO-ness of it all to the community outrage that the very handling of this patch will guarantee.
Agreed. I don’t think a limited game mode is going to help in the long run. Brawlers Guild evergreen, work on housing little by little, revamp Archaeology instead of limited stupid events, fix actual PvP for people, etc.
You act like this is something new.
Perfect response. All people do is complain. If you don’t like the game move on. We got 3 xpacs coming up and people have doomed them before even seeing them. Sheesh
