I’m actually a centrist that leans right occasionally left. There are talking points in both parties that I agree with.
That said, I didn’t hate Trump. However, supporting this administration after the numerous economic issues, the resurgence of Covid, and this major disaster in Afghanistan is just party politics. Their loyalty is party above all else.
Springsteen said at one time that with the election of Joe Biden we would get our standing back in the world. After the lengths that our allies have had to go to to evacuate their citizens our standing has diminished but people like him will still preach from their ivory towers.
Newsflash…That wasn’t just “Trump” That was an agreement that was made between numerous world leaders as well as the UN Security Council.
BTW every GITMO detainee that has been released under Biden and Obama (even the ones for Burgdahl) have returned to their leadership positions in ISIS.
People need to stop supporting this gaming company till we get professional developers that communicates and listens to players. I’m voting with my wallet this time. My sub runs out in 12 days.
All I ask is we get developers that communicates and listens to players. How hard is it to talk to your player base? I would like to know what is going on upstairs?
It’s simple really, the US wants the resources that these countries have. They want their rich friends to be able to go in and take whatever they want, and they’re not above engaging in war crimes to do it.
Oil is one of the biggest resources in the Middle East, and it’s one of the biggest resources that the US steals from whatever country they occupy. They stole oil from Iraq, they stole oil from Afghanistan and they’re actively stealing oil from Iran (engaging in piracy to do it) and Syria.
It really wasn’t. Trump dropped more bombs in the Middle East in one month, than Obama did during his worst year, which was 2016. I will give Trump credit for one thing, during his 4 years he did not start another war, but he did nothing to stop the American war machine from dropping bombs and he worked hard to increase American military engagements all over the world, quickly overshadowing his predecessor, both in respect to military engagements in frontline wars and in non-battlefield settings.
Take for example the countries of Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan. In the last 193 days of Obama’s presidency there were 21 lethal counterterrorism operations in those countries. Under Trump that number shot up to 113. It also led to a 67% rise in civilian deaths, since Trump didn’t care about civilian casualties in areas where the US were engaged in military operations.
He was as much a warhawk as every previous president.
Vietnam was a problem for the French before it was a problem for us.
Afghanistan was a war zone for the British and the Soviets before us.
Maybe sticking our nose into hornets nests that others have been chased out of isn’t the best idea. And leaving our faces in it for as long as possible makes even less sense.
Sorry I missed the politics in this thread, but I kind of wonder if OP’s right. If we give them money anyway, does Blizzard even care about our feedback?
Yes they do, as evidenced by the multiple times they’ve made changes to the game based on our feedback.
The changes to customization options that’s coming in 9.1.5? That’s because of our feedback.
Solo Island Expeditions? That’s because of our feedback.
Torghast changes that happened in 9.1? Yep, because of our feedback.
Does Blizzard implement changes based on all the feedback? Nope. But they do listen.
The right tends to have the memories of goldfish. They blamed Obama for the trillions of war debt Bush racked up in Afghanistan and Iraq and they’ll blame Joe when the Trump tax cuts for the rich bill comes due next year.
Look, hate to break it to you, but Blizzard doesn’t do reactionary game design. They don’t have a ‘If players start quitting, break glass’ moment. It’s a nice tinfoil conspiracy, to think that these changes are only being made because players are leaving, but nothing in game design is done on such short notice. These plans would have been approved months ago, long before news of the lawsuit broke etc.
