WoW has stopped being the primary money maker in actiblizz. The only thing that risks happening if enough players leave is they’ll just pull the plug.
So you’re a prime example of what I was talking about. Moving on.
Oh. Wow, I thought your previous post was joking. Actually unironically blaming the guy inheriting twenty years of failed war started by Doub-ya… kekw. Derangement to the maximum.
Dude, which is it? You have people angry at Biden for pulling out, and you have people angry at Obama for staying in. It sounds like you guys just want to be salty about Dems without regard for logic.
And doub-ya inherited that issue because of the soviets and CIA intervention.
He wanted to make a bold campaign promise. That’s why we got involved in this nation building nonsense - because he wanted to be able to say that 9/11 wouldn’t happen again.
And do you have a crystal ball for the future to say he’s wrong or right?
This issue here is the way the current administration went about with his haphazard withdrawl from Afghanistan. Nice try though.
Try and keep up.
???
The point is that Bush Jr didn’t inherit anything in that regard. He made a choice that dictated twenty years of American geopolitics because it would be good for his re-election campaign (and it was). It isn’t a matter of whether what he said was right or wrong, he made a choice that bogged us down in a twenty year for his re-election campaign.
You seem to want to make it an issue, but nobody else really seems to care about that in this thread. People are more concerned with the twenty year war and the trillions in debt, not whether things ended in the cleanest possible fashion they could of. I assure you the history books will be far more concerned about the fact that we got into this mess in the first place.
Based copium 2Head take. He did inherit issues because intervention in the region, causing the issues that then spilled out on to American soil.
Hence the reason why I said soviet and cia intervention.
Nay, I shall give Blizzard subs. Enough to keep it running but not enough to see the rich get richer. Monthly Sub only, they do not get cash shop stuff until they earn my good favor.
I’ll correct this for you…you don’t care because it’s the guy you voted for thinking he was going to be your savior from the Orange man when he’s a bumbling fool that can’t even complete a sentence.
12 Americans, that we know so far have lost their lives. You’re right it’s all party above all for people like you. No one should ever expect you to care that people are stranded and worse yet have lost their lives.
Democrats…leaving American’s behind since Beghazi.
He chose to have us stay in Afghanistan so that he could promise the American people there wouldn’t be another 9/11. That was his decision. He was the decider. He could have had us go in and complete the mission (a mission that he was obligated to and that he did inherit), but he tacked on more because it was a nice political stunt for his administration at the time.
People die. Imagine actually simping for continuing a twenty year war over 12 people. Actual complete insanity. I absolutely reject your world view. Yes, sometimes you have to pull the rip-cord and there are consequences. You pull the lever and divert the trolley car and some people will die but it is the right choice to stop it from continuing to run over people for another twenty years. That’s how it works. That’s what the President should do. Make the hard choice. Sometimes people need to die to do the right thing.
You still don’t get this. I am anti-war. It’s not about the war. Everyone agrees that this was a mistake. It’s the responsibility that your guy now shoulders for the mess he created withdrawing from the war.
Is it clear enough for you yet?
Lost me right there.
First, I imagine you’re not a 3d artist who models and designs video game art assets. I have no doubt that rigging skeletons and actually building a world is difficult, but color options and customization shouldn’t be that difficult.
They’re mostly just values. Scars are just slivers of paint. Hairstyles are more complicated, especially if they’re animated. Tattoos are just larger slabs of paint. It’s all stuff that you can literally craft in Microsoft Paint. In fact, I’m sure many of their base files start with a Paint file.
Also, the fact that customization is an “expansion selling feature” is outright pathetic.
Not to mention the fact that the customization itself should just be released as time goes on. It shouldn’t be a major feature to customize my character.
For the mess that was created. Even in the best possible circumstances, making the right choice was always going to create a mess. If someone else rolls a boulder down the hill and you move out of the way to avoid it, I’m really not going to hold you responsible for moving, I’m going to hold the guy responsible who rolled the boulder down the hill in the first place.
I don’t blame Biden, I don’t blame Trump, I don’t blame Obama, I blame Bush Jr. I only hold Biden accountable in-so-far as I acknowledge that he had the guts to actually pull the rip-cord and do the right thing and finally end this situation.
I have actually done 3D art, including modelling characters and texturing. I can’t speak for how complicated it can be at Blizzard as I don’t work there, but at no point are these changes ‘easy’ to make. They can be quite time-consuming. It really depends on the model in question and what’s being done. The easiest things to do are pallet swaps, but even they can take time as it’s not as simple as ‘changing some values’.
Your ignorance of how this all works is mind-boggling, but I am hardly surprised since armchair development is a trend on these forums. People like to pretend they know about game dev and how ‘easy’ it is, when they’ve got no bloody clue and it causes most game developers to cringe when they see the ignorant make statements like that.
Nope. I am not sure who you are trying to convince of this MSM talking points but none of this is an excuse.
There was an agreement between many world leaders, including the UN Security Council on withdrawl, dates, methods etc. When Biden took office he casts all that aside and did whatever he wanted to do. Which created this mess and why we now have the reaction we do from the Taliban. We didn’t honor the agreement.
The right thing to do has always been to pull the ripcord but not with disastrous results. We didn’t need worse than Vietnam. We just needed to get our people out and get out ourselves. I am a non-interventionist. I don’t believe we should be involved in foreign entanglements however the fact is we are involved. That doesn’t mean we disregard the people who inadvertently are stuck in the middle of this mess.
as you, the admitted person who’s unemployed, lectures the thread about how the cosmetic development is done, and how we’re all ignorant for not agreeing.
ergo, irony.
I do 3d modeling too and a lot of texture art. That guy has no idea what he is talking about. Stuff like that takes time. I do mostly corporate and commercial animation, Right now I’m sculpting my Tauren Hunter to 3d print at 28mm (more close to 32mm) for wargaming.
I have too. That doesn’t make either of us long-term experts who do it for a living and full-time pay.
I’m not being ignorant. I’m simply critiquing. Especially in consideration to the fact that we wouldn’t have this problem with Allied Races if they didn’t rush Allied Races in the first place. Or, rather, if they would have just given them more customization in the first place.
That’s what you’re doing, just with the opposite of suggesting how “hard” it is.
I don’t think game developers are cringing over my statements. They would sooner just be upset about it, to be honest.
Regardless, Blizzard has the money. I don’t get why they don’t just pay a good art team to actually put some effort into customization and release as a regular feature and not a major feature.
