Stop blaming the healers

I mean it’s the knee jerk reaction people have, can’t possibly be their fault, has to be someone else. The number of times I’ve watch a DPS sit on their DR’s while they were getting face blasted by something has always astounded me. Like priory is one dungeon where you need to be cycling your defensives constantly, or else you’re just gonna go pop constantly. Yet DPS don’t do that and then get all huffy and puffy about it when they die.

The problem is the stakes are very high when doing keys when it comes to doing the mechanics. In which the bulk of the player base doesn’t understand this, or just wants a free carry. Like I had a evoker go splat on the first boss on cleft because they didn’t move out of the circle when the boss slammed into the wall, and then we wiped because no one was hitting the cart. Yet that evoker just alt f4ed out of the game over something they did to themselves.

It’s very easy to balme the healer, but it’s extremely hard for people to admit and understand that it’s their own fault as to why their dying in the manner that they are constantly.

My favourite is when I do something like Motherlode with a ton of kick or die mechanics and I end up being blamed for the wipes… on the only healer that doesn’t have a kick…

Even had idiots tell me disc priest does indeed have a kick… makes me want to headdesk

Because no one ever believes anyone else on these forums, have a video.

From 4:08 check the POV of the DPS, standing still multiple times between 4-11 seconds rather than closely following the tank to keep up the DPS.

Notice the dude in the video, they talk about HPS and that the healer could be struggling, but there is a point where the tank gets dropped fast, too many adds, not enough damage from the DPS, a combination of both.

If the tank is struggling with four adds and the boss in an M2 they are almost certainly not geared enough, if the DPS are having such a low uptime and are not able to kill the adds in the time they are attacking, they are almost certainly not ready for keys.

But the dude doing the video talks about the possible HPS being an issue.

Buy my new book, “Everybody Throws” written and illustrated by Duffle Throwington.

Or just play ahead of the curve so you get better players, idk, I’m not your father.

5/10 might reread later in the day. The problem is not the healers, the tanks, or the DPS. The problem is mythic plus. They made content so challenging that half the people doing it can’t do it right and another 49% do it relatively well with minimal issue.

I vote we take healers out back and beat them till they have to heal themselves. Then they will know what its like to be a tank.

Gorehook or whatever his name is is a healer check fight lol, the adds dont die fast enough in high keys and they’re practically guaranteed to at least have 4 out at a time.

Heal checks this season are brutal, I’ll give you that. But DPS opting to not deal damage to stay extra safe often results in a dps gain, because you deal no damage when you’re dead.

Stop. Or at least block the ones that are garbage tier players. Downvote, set their channel to not recommend, and ruin their rank in the algorithm.

Spend your eyeball-dollar time on creators who know when they’re the ones who screwed up or not.

So rarely does saying good job healer

I hate healers, I hate goblin themes, and by golly I hate cloth casters.

Man, you deep dive project management the crud out of that.

Bravo. :clap:t2::clap:t2::clap:t2::clap:t2:

PS…not being snarky… promise.

Dps players stand in a swirly get hit for 42 billion and tell the healer they had a defensive cd

Well said!

Blaming tanks and healers for group problems are what caused me to never play them again in a group setting. Even with friends it takes a lot to get me to tank/heal for them. In some ways its worse with friends, its one thing to be blamed for everything, its another to feel like you disappointed people you are close to.

Well OP??? Are you gonna link the video? Put up or shutup imo.

Good healers are actually bad for the game because we carry bad players and make crap pulls survivable and make bad tanks / bad dps think “oh wow that worked” when really it only worked because you have a top notch healer who pressed every spell & CD in the right order and did some 130 IQ moves.

It would be better if we had WORSE healers so DPS and Tanks would have to do better.

DPS and Tanks literally have no idea how many countless nightmare situations healers bailed them out of. They are just use to it and think it’s normal.

this is why i get anoyed with the stereotypes, people only considering it a female role. healing is for everyone, and it’s not that easy. ppl dont realize that when ur healign YOU ARE THE ONE MOSTLY IN CONTROL OF THE GROUP. the pace, the number of pulls, etc. IS ALL BASED ON YOu

Ive had a couple where i put in real effort to try and cover everything til about half the key and then just kinda stop caring cause theyre so bad.
Like no, you really dont need have a key above a 2 right now; you havent interrupted once, do less damage then the tank and eat every mechanic, im not sweating for this when youre clearly not

A good tank can cover for a bad group too and a good DPS can cover for bad DPS. The key is trying to get into a group of equally skilled players.

I prefer to blame tanks. I find that tank players are more likely to make me not enjoy myself than healers.
