Their opinions don’t matter. The only opinion that matters for you is yours. :dracthyr_uwu:

Eh… that’s a mite-bit exaggerated.

So we’re talking about something entirely different now. Not sure what all this has to do with what we were discussing previously…

Also yeah Discord is like 500x better for chatting.

You gotta just cowboy up here, say well played, and bite that pillow like a man lilbrokebackbeedie. Anything else makes you look even softer than you already are.

Uh… :dracthyr_a1:

Particularly with “Players” like yourself who don’t even play the game but just hang out in the game’s forums. :dracthyr_nod:

Nah.

While back I was never into Mythic+, preferred heroic raiding w peeps I knew for years n years. But I had seen players on non raid nights buy carried w wow tokens, they would then be coming to raid night outgeared, over time they got bored and stopped raiding. Over the years I have seen soo many guilds come and go.

I never cared about PvP aside from the transmogs, but I bet it applies to pvp too, player buys his rating, does not want to queue up because they might lose that rating. Also the huge underworld of players whom play this game catering to whales, its grown into a full on income for some.

Add, the Player Bubble, the ones soo invested into wow, play it for 12 hours a day, to them the game probably is too easy. But to gamers who wants to sign up for 20 years of game button bloat and mandatory addons? Play the game staring at a disco ball of flashy stuff, gages and timers lol.

I believe these sweaty players are in a bubble, a bubble that protects the status quoe, and is not bringing in new players.

Why do struggling and left behind veteran players always go for the “think of the new players” angle

The lack of new players is more tied to the fact that the MMORPG genre, as a whole, is just not quite as popular as it once was. :dracthyr_shrug:

Agreed, probably from lack of competition. Riot LoL, Jag Runescape, Guildwars2, and ever quest, those companies are working on new MMOs atm. Even rumors of Warhammer 40k making an MMO.

Youtube I keep watching those AI videos of a remade azeroth w high end graphics. Old wow could use a facelift to modern games like PoE2 or Monsterhunter.

DUNE mmo coming out soon, but I think its more of a survival game.

Eh… that seems like baseless speculation to me.

Yeah, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to be getting any new players.

I actually think this would be a bad thing. One of the (many) reasons WoW has been so successful is that it is accessible. Any old potato can run it well enough to play. Bumping up the graphics even more risks alienating people who can’t afford to upgrade their computer every xpac.

Old pc zero problems playing wow, playing helldivers all fans ran on max heating my room up, Monsterhunter/cyberpunk/spacemarine2 was unplayable, so not long ago I upgraded to the 9800x3d and scored 9070xt for msrp, so yesterday when I installed wow again, my fans did not even ramp up w max settings, silent PC playing wow, CPU at 45, GPU around 40. You can play wow on a potato.

Players love graphics though, Helldivers 2 is soo insane even game play moments look better than cinematics lol. Who knows, maybe Blizz is working on a wow2, after a big reset once the battle against the Void lords is over with. I hope something Big is coming at Blizzcon, part of why I try to keep tabs on the game. 1 hour in goblin town last night, it looks pretty but got boring fast.

They do… but they also like not having to upgrade their computer with every xpac. I suspect that WoW would lose a lot of players if they bumped the graphics up again. The economy is in the dumpster. People will cut WoW if they have to.

What if they did it like Diablo2 remastered, one hot key and you can play w 2001 classic graphics or the modern visuals? I mean Blizzard did it recently… Insane modern graphics or classic giving players a choice.

WoW is already kind of like this. You can change the graphic settings quite drastically to alter overall performance. High graphics vs. low graphics is like playing two different games. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

The problem is when they upgrade the games graphics such that it necessitates physical upgrades on the users end just to meet the bare minimum performance requirements. While it might be fine for a “WoW 2.0,” I don’t think it would be wise to make such a change during the WSS.

Didnt realize that the forums and reddit proved that wow is the most alive game ever.

Maybe they could meet in the middle, raise setting at least enough to play on PC and Console. I dono if they can go on console though, thats like 12 buttons compared to the 40 you need in PC wow lol.

I don’t see that happening - nor would I want them to go that route, either. It works for games like Diablo because you have 6 action buttons, but WoW is a whole other animal. The graphics would be great though.

I bet most have seen them but on youtube the AI remakes of wow characters and zones, how sick that looks… I wish the game was turned into that lol.

My concern with games that have slick graphics is that they tend to lack in other departments, like smooth gameplay. Like, would a WoW 2.0 play just as smooth as it currently does?

True that also, Monsterhunter is still having trouble to run on high end PCs. Helldivers 2 is still a CPU hog lol.
