Its not going to happen. have you ever seen ANY expansion that reset toons… NO. never had a toon move into a new expansion with NO GEAR, NO GOLD, NO SKILLS… NOOOOOO you havnt, so stop asking for fresh resets. YOU AINT GETTING IT AND I AM 100% keepihng my 50k so get mad less and cover your face with your mask.

idk if you live in a cave and you manage to escape that cave to find a computer but people have been crying for people’s gold to be completly reseted. im just throwing it in their face im keeping my 50k gold and there is nothing YOU can do about it.

we’re not getting a new expansion. We might be getting a museum piece that is a snap shot of an old expansion. if we do end up getting that then your character and all his loot and gold is not welcome.

People like OP that use Classic as a platform to farm for TBC are exactly why we need a reset before TBC.
I’ve had to many idiots tell me “I’m only playing Classic to farm for TBC” to care if there is a gold reset, in fact I hope they do put a gold cap in place so that morons like OP who spent their entire time in Classic farming gold with malicious intent for TBC wasted their time.

The difference is everyone started fresh in 2004. It was a new game. No expansion has ever forced players to start over from level 1. There’s really no reason why classic BC would, and gold is the only argument anyone has for it. 1-60 is classic content, and as far as we know, classic isn’t going anywhere. If you want to do deadmines again do it in classic. Let BC servers be for BC content.
Even the gold argument is largely BS, the people who were too lazy/incompetent/don’t care to get gold in classic will just continue to be so regardless of a reset.
Corona virus is used for great economic reset.

Exactly. The same people who have tons of gold now will have tons of gold in BC, a fresh start just delays is by a week or 2. I’m just saying I can see why people would want a gold reset, even though I think it’s dumb. And I have less than 10k gold so I’m “poor”

I hope you realize that gold is largely irrelevant in TBC and that your 50k gold will give you absolutely no advantage aside from getting your epic flying faster.
I also hope that those who call for gold resets realize this as well.

Not sure what the OP is even talking about. Blizzard might give players the option to transfer or copy characters to TBC servers, but they might not. They haven’t said what they’re going to do yet. They gave a survey asking players with a few choices.
Just another poster incapable of viewing a possible TBC server as anything other than a standard expansion. It might be treated that way, but there will almost certainly be at least a few fresh servers created as well besides allowing transfers/copies off Classic servers (which will continue to exist pre-tbc forever…that we do know).
In any event, some people need to take a step back and envision a scenario in which TBC servers are created exactly like Classic servers: a self-contained experienced with no connection to any other version of WoW. Obviously in that context there wouldn’t be transfers or copies. It’s just a TBC experience. Blizzard could go that route. But again, we don’t know yet.

Hopefully this is what happens. Classic and TBC need to be separate from one another. There are simply too many opportunities for problems and abuse if transfers or copies from Classic are allowed. Maybe allow character boosts to level 58 equiped with questing greens and a small amount of gold, food, and bandages for those who don’t want to start from level 1.
And no, this won’t mean people are “throwing away” their Classic characters. They will still be there waiting for you when you log into Classic.
