Stop asking for classic +

Retail IS Classic +.

It’s what you get when you take Vanilla and add all the things you think it lacks. You will get the same thing you have now.

Your retail mindset is showing. Your name is accurate… you’re dreaming if you think any of those elements are going to happen in Classic. EZ/convenience mode is that way ----->

No harm in making your voice heard and speak up. Even if they don’t do it, why be silent? So many times I regret not saying something even if there was no chance of it happening. Sorry for being a bit short.

There are many players who like retail as it is. If you were to strip many of the features in retail to make it more like classic you’d have a very large portion of the player base upset. I’m not saying we should have more content added in classic but creating separate servers that kept the vanilla-esque theme & maybe took a whole new path that wasn’t tbc seems like a very cool concept. I mean I’m having a blast in vanilla but how much content is going to be left for us to explore, again, in 2-3 years max? How many players are going to keep doing the same 15 year old content again and again and again once they have experienced all that vanilla has to offer.

Updated visuals, straight up old school play with stuff like transmog, keyrings etc. Hell yeah man. I’m talking like bringing in people who would plan out the lore, keep everything in line and streamline it all. You’d need some quality Devs to pull this off, some people that love Vanilla play but feel the RPG immersion that some new visuals and QoL changes would bring.

LOL…this guy is hilarious. You sound just like someone else I’ve spoken to about this subject. The fact that you just happen to know with ABSOLUTE certainty that Classic+ is going to happen with plenty of evidence and facts to the contrary…it just boggles my mind

Never said it would chief, just saying my peace. Said it would be cool if it did happen. You didn’t read all of my posts did you? It’s alright, jumping into a conversation and talking without knowing what’s going on happens a lot. Was just saying if anything did happen people would keep their Classic.

False. If you think retail can’t fixed you’re sadly mistaken.

I mostly agree, but they would have to think long and hard about something like transmog. That really changes the game, in classic you can tell how far a character has progressed by what they are wearing.

Eventually people will be having sacks full of older raid loot anyways. Before BC came out I was ran through MC BWL etc and had loads of gear without trying. Gotta have the item to transmog it anyways. Aint no goober going to be running around with transmogged gear they haven’t earned.

I was thinking before Blizzards angle in releasing classic is actually hoping people go back to retail. But I have no such plans. I’ll be buying the nintendo handheld switch soon, and playing fun games like Breath of the Wild. I wonder what the guy who created Zelda thinks about WoW? I bet he wouldnt like it because of the grind

Omg. How can people seriously post things like this??

They did all these things. In the expansion. Yknow? The Burning Crusade? And people have whined incessantly about it ever since.

And those quality devs are long gone. Only the people who made vanilla WoW can be trusted to make old style content and do it justice. The current devs would butcher it

Blizzard has stated they won’t be changing classic and these morons don’t care and scream for changes at the top of their lungs that almost no one wants. It’s mind boggling tbh.

I remember a time when people were literally banned from the forums for bringing up “make vanilla servers” over and over, despite Blizzard saying it would never happen. But here we are

Something tells me that the company with the biggest-earning and most successful multiplayer game in the history of multiplayer games probably wasn’t going to go ‘well I guess that was a good run!’ and split the player base and declare the end of the game.

Actually no ones screaming for changes. It seems like people bring forth their thoughts about what they think would be a cool concept and the people that start screaming are the #nochanges crowd. Like someone says hey I think this would be a cool concept, then you see 20 post saying “Go back to retail”. Seems a bit childish to me.

The people who made vanilla WoW didn’t even know what stats were good for their own classes. There’s things to appreciate about the game, but don’t chock up so much to ‘brilliance’ what was often simply incompetence.

Releasing Classic is not the same as trying to incorporate new things into classic. They essentially just did a beefy sweep of 1.12 and released that. Trying to put in new systems would change the game and take a ton of time n money to essentially rewrite the game. It would be far easier for them to just do the same as Classic and apply that to BC then release that. You won’t be getting Classic+. Period. You want retail things and changes? Go play retail.

People want more content like vanilla. The drop rate for quest items is simply the point that it takes grinding mobs to get xp most efficiently, not jumping from quest to quest. The quests are pointing you to areas to grind along with giving you a little coin and a piece of gear.

The expansive world and travel is what an mmorpg is about. If you were a knight or viking a few hundred years ago, you jumped on your horse/ship and endured the harshness of the environments to get to your conquests. The same for trianing and supplies, you didnt just buy everything you wanted and you didnt learn to be a battle hardened warrior by killing 10 gnolls. It should be a journey.

Dungeons/raids should be harder. (Which they probably will be if they ever do WoW 2) we just have patch 1.12 which allows for steamrolling current content.

Im careful to use the world balanced, as classes should have different advantages and disadvantages over other classes, however I believe the different specs should maybe be optimized some so that they dont neccesarily go OOM in a two minute fight or have lvl 40ish BiS gear.

Steamrolling content should stay in D3. All classes being god and being able to complete dungeons without a diverse group should stay in some other game. You dont go to war without infantry, medics, artillery, snipers, ect.
