I am stupidly excited for Shadowbringers. Even if the FF servers were down for a week following launch, I still wouldn’t come back for 8.2.
Well, first couple weeks(prerelease week and release week) are gonna be bottlenecked probably. Then it frees up.
I left this game in early cata and resubbed a month back for classic. Been reading the forums the entire time though, I would say Blizzards biggest issue is the one every player complains about. Blizzard saying they are listening but rarely if ever showing they are. A blue post saying “We are listening” is one thing but actually acknowledging problems, suggestions and recommenditions and even implementing some shows the community they are listening.
As the old saying goes actions speak louder then words, its easy to say your listening its different story to show that you are.
Yeah I’m sure we’ll have queues and everything. Hopefully nothing near as bad as Stormblood’s launch was. But I did get a funny tshirt out of that situation, so… there was one plus side lol
Does it still have that comic book cut scenes everywhere? That’s what turned me off.
Raubahn Savage was pretty great.
I can definitely see this happening. LOL
I find it exceptionally unlikely they will release it when people won’t be in the office.
Don’t forget Pipin Extreme
After i got past Raubahn’s instanced quest and saw that Pipin had one (with a line) like 5 quests later, i about had an aneurysm.
I highly doubt they will release a major patch before a US holiday like the 4th of July. It might come the following week, but not the week of.
I want it all
I want it all
I want it all
and I want it now!
Yes. These are things that would make players happy. Others would include a more parkour effect to getting up hills. Less theme park and more sandbox. The problem is that the people making the decisions are; marketing and execs who do not game and the devs who do play have made it abundantly clear that they like their phone games.
As for the topic at hand Blizz does indeed look to strategically releasing their xpacs and patches…regardless of how pissed off it makes the players. Typical corporation behavior here, piss off 20 customers to bring in 40 customers in which 10 of those customers will actually stay.
sounds like a pretty tough decision
I prefer the 77 day patch theory. What date would 8.2 fall on if we followed that?
FF14 is a very different game from WoW, so the overlap is likely very small and barely on Blizzard’s radar.
The players of the two games have a lot more overlap than you think.
Yea idk if it’s always been like that but they always release something big on the day or week that something that draws alot of attention is coming out, i mean it’s competition i guess
No one is willing to stake their career on making a decision on which is best to do, release before or after the competition?
Oh god good times
